One thing for sure is that this is the most expensive 20 lb steak Clenelo ever digested.

      They aint paying GGG shit!

He has to now go sale that new house he bought and downsize lmfao thats what happens when you plan your life off another man.
LOL. That's not how it works. There's no way they'd put in a contract "if boxer A pulls out of a fight not due to injuries or if boxer A gets busted for a banned substance, then the CONTRACTED purse GUARANTEED to boxer B disappears - regardless of your training and travel expenses, your trainer's pay, your promoter's pay, your managers pay, sparring partners, etc".

Not to mention the projected sales HBO PPV expected and the rematch viewers it was expecting the following weekend. Time Warner, Comcast, etc were all expecting a projected amount as well.

I don't think he's entitled to anything since he's proceeding with another fight on the same date, basically the same event with a different opponent.

If the event didn't go ahead after the cancellation, I'd say he could sue for his contracted pay.
Incorrect , is like saying you purchased a ferrari but something happend to it, but you did get a corolla, so you can still go to work. If GGG had any PPV percentage, sponsors, etc, they could get reduce by millions since he is literally fighting nobody, from porobably one million PPV's to maybe 150K if that( I am just guessins) dont be surprised HBO puts it as BAD, making GGG lose even more money.

Stipulations that will absolve them of ANY wrongdoing no matter what? If you think an established promoter such as Loeffler, as well as his legal will team would say "hey, let's put in our contract that if Canelo gets busted for a drug that cancels this fight, it's totally okay, you can keep your money, we will keep ours, no harm done, we'll talk to you some other time, tell the kids I said hi, and enjoy your summer" then you're sadly mistaken or misinformed.

I disagree, I do agree they might have some clauses but since he is suspended any judge will side with GGG, they will use his age, his camp, his expenses and lost of income due to something that could have easily be avoided, like OJ for example, he was found innocent in criminal court but found guilty in civil case. Civil cases are easier to since the burden of proof will rest on GGG but when challenged it will shift to canelos. but in short, the HBO will have very bad numbers, I think it might no be PPV

Hes not saying its about Wilder. Hes making a comparison to a similar situation. One guy pissed dirty ensurining the event would be cancelled and had to pay up.

Exactly. It will be a civil case. And last year, a precedent was set when Wilder sued Povetkin for breach of contract for his entire purse, and won.

they do have some language in the contracts that cover that, will be ****** not to.

yeah who knows how it will play out in the courts, but they do have language that covers that etc will be dumb not to since that is a very important scenario that can present itself.

With GGG still fighting on the date he was suppose to fight against Canelo what GBP might have to pay him is minimal. The event didn't get cancelled so it is not a total loss.
