The only viable opponents for Wilder are Joshua/Parker winner, Povetkin, Whyte, and Pulev. I'd rather see Wilder face Ortiz again than fighting Whyte/Pulev/Povetkin tbh. The first fight did well ratings-wise, so it's definitely a match-up that makes sense to revisit. I'd rather a rematch than inactivity.
I agree about the inactivity but in this case(because boxing NEEDS Joshua v Wilder)I would rather him take care of any mandatory's so fight can happen by end of year.Really their is NO reason for BIG fight not to happen next as NONE of the apha bit boys have called for a mandatory yet.Matter a fact its ONLY Hearn who is bringing up mands because he DONT want Joshua v Wilder. Can only hope Joshua is a REAL champ and tells him to make it.Because he is already BIG ENOUGH to tell Hearn what to do.

Ortiz CHOSE to go fight Wilder instead of waiting for the Pulev /Takam fight , he WAS Joshuas mandatory....so let it go !
Why did Eddie Hearn let Luis Ortiz go after signing him in the first place?

I would love to see a second fight. I would prefer Wilder vs PEDvetkin this Summer and Fury vs Ortiz if possible.

You avoided the question. Ortiz being a mandatory doesn't make the champion "willing" to step in the ring.

Ortiz could not and did not finish Wilder when he had him hurt. Wilder finished Ortiz when he had him hurt. It's that simple. Ortiz showed zero desire to get a finish in the eighth round. How do you explain that?

That was legit. Douglas got up at like 9-1/2 seconds and that was after 13 seconds of ref counting. I literally timed it. The only issue is that a ref's count doesn't have to be based on seconds.

If you are possibly concussed, when should a doctor examine you? I don't think it would be fair to take time out of your corner. Anyways, both fighters received additional time to recover and I'm sure Ortiz didn't mind a few extra seconds for himself. Ortiz couldn't finish him, end of story.

Wilder will be even better in the rematch, he learns and improves with every fight. Ortiz is a warrior but puts his life in danger in the rematch even more than the 1st bout.

I want a rematch because it was a great fight! It also did great numbers, if Wilder can't unify next then absolutely.

Doesn't the doctor inform the ref that he wants to examine someone, and isn't that all his prerogative? And not the ref deciding when the doctor should look? I don't think there is much to these accusations.

this PED using scumbag received an underserved title shot and payday when he should've been booted from the sport. and this is how he repays the favor?

                      fckn ingrate.

wilder had no obligation to fight this dirty juicer. he took that fight strictly for fans. nobody would've gave a sht if wilder never faced a guy who was caught juicing against him.

ortiz is revealing his true character. ungrateful slimeball. this makes that uppercut that much sweeter.

go beg AJ for a payday you juiced up cow.
