Wasn't nothing shady about that Wilder was getting some bombs dropped on him by Ortiz. They were checking to make sure he was okay to continue fighting. I thought they might stop it watching it live. Hekk Ortiz lost fair and square besides Ortiz should have launched another attack on wilder early in the eighth round to close the show. Not to mention the first four rounds of the fight when Wilder hardly even threw punches that's when he should have stepped on the gas. Plus how can wilder recover in that short period of time does he have a healing factor we don't know about? Ortiz was landing clean shots on back to back for the last 45 seconds of round 7 on Wilder he just couldn't finish him off end of story. Ortiz put up a Hekk of a fight he need to take his L like a man.

It is a fight that deserves a rematch BUT I still wanna see Joshua v Wilder NEXT if not then get rid of any mands so it can be late this year. And really I think Ortiz might not be same fighter anyways after that.Any fighter after a KO can be done but with his age and ego(the fricken guy KNOWS he forgot more about tech boxing then ANYBODY in div although PED etkin is close)I have a hard time seeing him coming back with same punch resistence. His chin is/was VERY good but after that I doubt it will be same(also desire).

That is how they trained to do they job, doctor checks start of round to see if boxer has his facilities back after the break

Well that’s sad. He was so gracious in defeat immediately after.

All in For a Rematch! Fight Povetkin or Whyte and get himself right back in Mandatory Position for another SHOT

I think Ortiz is still VERY Dangerous

Like what Ortiz got after 1st KN in 10th?Or how about after the shove down with him getting an extra look by the Ref?Live with it and give the man the respect he deserves.Im just waiting for the guy that says "Ortiz got screwed when they didn't stop it in 7th"Even though they would not say same about Joshua in 5th and 6th of his fight with Wlad. Both guys PROVED with out a shadow of a doubt that they were MORE then capable of going on.Just thought I would beat the next fanboy to the punch lol.

Although I don't fully agree with Ortiz's viewpoint, I would love a rematch if Wilder can't get some other meaningful opponent. It's rare nowadays in the HW division to give the fans rematches, but would anyone actually be mad at one in this instance? The only viable opponents for Wilder are Joshua/Parker winner, Povetkin, Whyte, and Pulev. I'd rather see Wilder face Ortiz again than fighting Whyte/Pulev/Povetkin tbh. The first fight did well ratings-wise, so it's definitely a match-up that makes sense to revisit. I'd rather a rematch than inactivity.

If boxing was run right the winners of this months fights would fight NEXT.And the losers would fight with the winner getting 1st shot after Joshua and Wilder decide who's BEST.Hopefully for boxing that would be after their rubber match.

Agreed. I don't believe the conspiracy theorists but fights in New York are being ruined by doctors.
