Basically Ortiz is trying to get one last payday. Because no other top level heavyweight it gonna want to face him now, so it was an entertaining fight and this is his way of angling for a re-match. if it works, good for him (atleast he didnt claim his arm stopped working

If the rematch was to happen, what will Ortiz do to counter Wilder's unorthodox style of fighting?

It might end up the same but honestly all Ortiz needed was another 10-12 seconds on the clock to end it because Wilder wasn't answering punches. He should have thrown and upper cut when Wilder's head was down and he was bent over. A rematch wouldn't be hard to sit through at all IMO.

If they fought again Wilder will end it in 3 rounds at most.

The deck was stacked to allow Wilder to win.

Paid off judges and referee. Haymon wasn't allowing Wilder to lose

Make Wilder fight Whyte his Mando or Povetkin. Wilder gets KTfO in both fights .

Wilder is protected and all hype. A 45 year old Ortiz beat his ass .

Ortiz believed the fight was in his hands after badly hurting Wilder in the seventh round and coming within a few seconds of stopping him before the bell rang.

Depends who Wilder has lined up next. If it's an opponent link Stiverne 2, then give Ortiz the rematch.

No need for a rematch. Ortiz lost fair and square. I suspect some of the people wanting a rematch was hoping Ortiz got the win in the first place.

My fantasy booking (assuming AJ beats Parker):

Joshua and Wilder co-headline a summer card (ideally in the UK for the spectacle of it, but could also work at the Barclays).
Two match-ups: Joshua/Miller, Wilder/Whyte. Winners (hopefully AJ and Wilder) and losers face each other.

I would make Ortiz/Povetkin around the same time. The winner would face the AJ/Wilder winner, while the loser would face the AJ/Wilder loser.

I wish boxing was as easy as just matching fighters together.
