If I'm Wilder I move onto Joshua ideally, but if not then Whyte, Breazeale or Povetkin as you mention & let Ortiz prove himself vs another contender or two before I put him in my line of sight again.
I agree. Wilder doesn't have nothing left to prove. He showed that he was the better fighter that night.

Ortiz's people are just desperate because they know after that showing none of the title holders or top contenders would want to get in the ring with him anytime soon.

Moreover, Team Ortiz knows they are running out of a time on his career. He is not getting any younger and he has about a snowball's chance in Hell of ever getting in the ring with Joshua soon.

Lou Dibella didnt even want this fight ,no way we see a rematch anytime soon if again unless Wilder becomes undisputed champion which i dont see either .
Then what about Anthony Joshua? Do you think he's willing to step in the ring with Luis Ortiz anytime soon?

Except Douglas was winning the fight . And Tyson was in complete La La land .

Wilder ? Not so much .The fight was hardly over and he was losing (at least not on the judges scorecards ...lol ) Theres plenty to dispute here in a situation that had a slight impact of at least favoring Wilder to get a clearer head . If this is the rules than many other PAID ppl in boxing hasnt seen much of this either .

I thought it was pretty shady too. Especially considering the Doctor had 60 sec in between rounds to do his job. I doubt it made a difference but why cause speculation. The commission needs to train these people better on how to do their job.

Listen i see you on here daily posting misinformation.

Ortiz CHOSE to go fight Wilder instead of waiting for the Pulev /Takam fight , he WAS Joshuas mandatory....so let it go !

I think the fight was competitive enough that Ortiz should get a rematch. Wilder will probably need to keep active before the AJ train comes along so why not.

The guy has a point. There was no reason for Wilder to be checked by the doctors. They just wanted time for him to recover.

Then let's do standing 18 second counts instead of 8 after a knockdown.
