But what I can't understand is the hate for Wilder! The most exciting American HW since Bowe basically. A potential ATG. The man won a bronze with no amateur experience. He learned to box as a pro. Despite that he has murdered his competition and has one of the best right hands in HW history.

He helps clean the sport up. He was about to travel to Russia of all places to fight Povetkin when nobody wanted to until Povetkin popped. He tried to fight Ortiz, a guy that would give Joshua serious problems and beat Parker for his belt if you're unobjective. He gave him ANOTHER chance. He pays for his opponents VADA which Joshua has no part of, and called out Fury in his day and Joshua now.

Maybe he gets stopped Saturday. Maybe he crushes Ortiz, crushes Joshua and goes on to be one of the ATG HWs. But the man is all action, one of the best personalities the sport has seen in a decade at least, and is willing to fight the best CLEAN.

I agree with guys like Errol Spence and Wilders peers when they say Deontay might kill someone in the ring, and nobody is beating him for a while. Wilder is a straight up killer he goes out there with unwavering self belief and is ready to take a life. That's an old school fighter like Spence. Whether you like Joshua, Ortiz, or anyone Wilder should get your respect. Boxing should learn from mma and support its stars. God bless enjoy the fight Saturday.
    Great post!

I understand people prefer certain fighters, styles, persona, etc and differences of opinion makes for great fights, discussion but some of the "hate" for Wilder is s bit unreasonable.

He does receive his fair share of hate around here but he also has nuthuggers making excuses and fail to acknowledge his faults and flaws.

        Potential ATG ?

Pls lets not overhype him...he was falling on the ground from missing punches and overreaching against szpilka and was made to look a fool at times vs subpar opposition.

Very possible. I'm a fan of both (though I'm starting to get tired of the AJ parade)

I don't see how people could be cheering for one of them to lose, when AJ vs Wider will be the biggest match boxing has had in years.

Excactly finally we have something to really look forward to, a real super fight, where both men can **** and get hit. This fight is everything boxing is about. I could see myself jumping ship on fight night, hoping Wilder might win. I just really want a great fight, with a lot of casuals super hyped. But no one here (Denmark) knows who the hell Wilder is, they all know AJ, but no one heard about Wilder. Pretty annoying.

I dont see how you can conclude from that fight that he is going to give tyson trouble.

The Stiverne from the second fight was grossly out of shape and nearly 16 pounds heavier than in the first match. It was awesome to see him just steamroll stiverne, but that was to be expected against a walking punching bag.

We're living in a new day and a new age. Then answer this question, why is Floyd Mayweather, Jr. Is so reviled? Not just among boxing fans but among credential card carrying press members as well. He is a global icon, undefeated, future HOF and an all-time great. In addition, he is a man beloved the world over and yet there are those who hate him for no other reason than his ethnic background.

The very same can be said about any Black American in the sport of boxing who has influence and is a mover and shaker in the sport like Al Haymon. He doesn't box but yet he is even hated also because he is a successful American black businessman and many racist bigots resent that fact likewise.

Now back to Money May; Some of the hatred for him is so intense and extreme that many of these same racist bigots who call themselves press people even refuse to request press passes to cover his fights because of their dirty consciences. Their consciences are so dirty that it convicts them of even asking him for a press pass to cover his events, due to their fear that they would be denied access because of their extreme racial hatred and jealousy him.

Crazy how i went from being a relatively big fan of Deontay to being very critical of him....i guess its just the people overhyping him and him running his mouth like Crazy. This whole poetic prophet thing he got going on is pure cringe and he should stop it before he becomes a big meme

What is this hate with running your mouth, why is that bad? That's one of the best things about boxing. Boxers dare to speak. Not like in any other sport, where they are dogs with a mouthguard.

Its cringy to me when he's shouting some dumb poetic prophet stuff. I like some boxers when they do it like Floyd... i prefer it when Deontay is just down to earth, he's just not funny or witty to me.
