I'm not black and even to me the bias against black fighters on this site is ridiculously obvious.

Not to mention the bias against American fighters.

So if a fighter is black AND American? Forget about it. Especially if they're with Haymon.

I get PAID to deal with the trolls and even I am fed up with it and have had to finally start blocking some of them. It's an absolute shame what this site has become, especially the last 5 years in particular. In the early days, you could actually have some decent discussion on here.

Wilder kept on yapping about being the best Heavyweight without having to fight any of the best heavyweight. And kept on saying that how he is better than Tyson and demands appreciation without having to earn it. I think it is why people see Wilder as being one of the most delusional fighters in the sport. At least Amir Khan doesn't have the audacity to trash talk past fighters.

I am happy for you that you like him so much. He is entertaining and exciting in the ring. That doesn't change him being a terrible cherry picker. Ortiz is the first decent contender he has defended his title against in the years he has been WBC world champ. He is also the biggest bragging loudmouth in the history of American heavyweight champions. Try to name an American heavyweight champion who bragged as much as Wilder or said as much really ****** stuff. You can't.

A cherry picker that tries to go to Russia to fight Povetkin and is fighting Ortiz after a failed late notice drug test? I'm never taking a thing you say serious.

It's because he's black and really outspoken. If you combine those two traits, people will get uneasy and find ways to hate.

We all know a lot of these fellow american boxing fans hate him for that very reason and choose to support eastern euro's instead.

Luckily I'm a american who doesn't care about race. I automatically support the best america has to offer

Cong**** on coming back from the government vacation. Stay outta trouble man. Too many mfers keep on the same path & don't learn sh^t for that experience.
Grazie paesan. I appreciate that a lot. As you and the other real ones in the thread said, this forum has really changed. I'm an Italian from Toronto, and the way people hate on the black American fighters is hilarious. I remember the Mayweather hate and knew after he would beat Pac they would say "he ducked him until he was shot" and that other bull****. It's sad there is literally nowhere on the internet you can go and intelligently discuss boxing whether you agree or disagree on a side in a fight.

This fight is huge and boxingscene didn't even a link for the live press conference. A little site like badlefthook did 😂

That's because Wilder beat his KO steak and says he would crush Tyson in his prime. Of course Tyson will say that. As someone that actually watches all Tyson's prime fights, I saw Tyson go the distance multiple times in his peak against guys Wilder would of crushed. So let's see how his career plays out. I think he's the real deal and has since his bronze win.

It's because he's an American; A Black American fighter at that and the bar is set much higher for him than your typical fighter. He's compared to the all-time great Black American heavyweight fighters of old like Joe Louis, Evander Holyfield, Mike Tyson, Sonny Liston, Ken Norton, Rid**** Bowe, Muhammad Ali, Joe Frazier, Larry Holmes, George Foreman and the lists goes on and on.

Also, let's cut to the chase. It's so obvious. It's the pink elephant in the room. It's what most everybody who has already commented on this thread has said.

In addition, another reason for the extreme unjustified hatred of Deontay Wilder is because he is black. Yes I said it. Many racist bigots, who call themselves boxing fans are feuled with racial jealousy of the American black athlete in general and the American black boxer in particular; Especially the Heavyweights by the fact that this one ethnic group have almost unilaterally dominated this entire sport for nearly a century and many are very resentful of this fact. Therefore, many of them favor White Eastern Euros over their fellow Black American compatriots. For example Floyd Mayweather, Jr. Is a prime example of this.

Therefore, because of the things I mentioned; Many want to see him Deontay Wilder fail. In addition, it explains the unjustified hatred of him likewise.
