I personally still have AJ rated #1 at heavyweight, by virtue of him being the unified heavyweight champion.

There is a valid argument to be made though that Ortiz is a better win than Klitschko from a sporting perspective. Obviously Klitschko is the much better win from a commercial standpoint.

But take commerce out of it and judge simply on sport. Klitschko was coming off of a humiliating defeat and a year and a half layoff. AJ wasn't fighting someone at the top of their game. AJ was fighting a 41 year old former champion who hadn't looked good in several years and had already been exposed in his previous fight.

Wilder was facing an undefeated Ortiz ranked #3 or #4 in the world according to most experts. Klitschko had been inactive for so long after the embarrassing loss that many didn't even have him ranked anymore due to the inactivity.

You'd obviously rather have Klitschko on your resume, but certainly you can understand why some would put more stock in a 38 year old undefeated Ortiz than a 41 year old rusty Klitschko who had looked terrible in his last fight and lost convincingly.

Pulev was undefeated and had beat other contenders around him like Ustinov, Dimitrenko and Tony Thompson in 2012/2013 before he was mandatory for the IBF, he has been considered around the top 5 HW's in the world for many years. Povetkin was considered top 3 for many years, one bad performance does not take away the fact he is a gold medal amateur and a legit top 3 HW.

      casual.
Yes, I had to research which one of these interchangeable bums he was. They're basically all the same. You can say that they were top 5 or top 3 all you want. That just tell me we're talking about the weakest crop of HWs in a long time. Like I said, Povetkin went life and death with Marco Huck. He really should've lost the fight. Tony Thompson was an old, part-time boxer and Wlad fought him twice. How the heck do you explain that? Klitschko got beat by a drug addict and an up and comer with 18 fights. Him losing to Joshua is like Mayweather losing to Victor Ortiz(if he lost). And Victor Ortiz was more accomplished than Joshua.

I went from a fanboy to a casual?

I'm trying to figure out if that's a demotion. LOL.

You can be both a fanboy and a casual, they are not mutually exclusive lol.... but there is no denying you have a fanboy agenda and are severely lacking in boxing knowledge, Pulev has been in the top 10 ring rankings for the last 6/7 years and was mandatory for Joshua and had a fight scheduled with him at the end of last year, this tells me you really DKSAB or this division, and your opinion =now means FA to me..... later.

Not knowing (or caring) who Pulev is means I'm severely lacking in boxing knowledge? I actually watched the fight between him and Klitschko... Like I said, I just couldn't match the name with face. Either way, it tells you how relevant he was to an already weak division at the time. It's funny when people accuse someone of not knowing anything about boxing because they don't know a particular boxer. It never dawn on them that it might be that the particular boxer is just not relevant. There's a Thai boxer about to break Mayweather's undefeated record and I couldn't pick him out of a line up.

Whatever man, he's been in the top 5 for years, was scheduled to fight Joshua at the end of October last year, had press conferences, it was all over this site and media, that's not even including his name has been plastered all over the rankings of every sanctioning body and the ring top 10 for the last 6/7 years, he was also a good amateur and beat world champion odlanier solis who beat Ortiz 5 times lol

That's fair enough if you want to believe the division is weak while not even knowing one of the top guys in it, you are discrediting Klitschko's resume while not even knowing one of the best undefeated fighters on it, who has one of the best jabs in the division. Later.

Obviously you're a fan of Klitschko and Pulev. I'm not a fan of either. I do have a certain degree of respect for Klitschko. You can't say anything to change my mind about him fighting in a weak era. However, the fact that he was champion for a decade is quite an accomplishment. We saw him lose in an embarrassing fashion to fighters that he was better than. He made the right adjustments (with the help of Steward) to make sure he didn't make those mistakes again. Pulev on the other hand, I simply can't get on your level of respect for him because nothing about him stands out to me. Let's agree to disagree on this one. I'm sure there are other things we can agree on because you seem to have a healthy knowledge of the sport. I know I do.
