I've never understood why people care so much about what other people think of fighter. Everyone has an opinion and a different point of view. If I like fighter A and you hate him because he is black/white/bald/hairlipped...whatever, as far as I'm concerned you are entitled to your opinion and your thoughts on it as long as you don't out your hands on me.

Not liking him for whatever reason is one thing. Not liking him because you hate black or whatever people in general and thus feel compelled to post inciteful comments is another. There are message boards for that.

To come and do it and ruin good boxing discussion says a lot about whatever personal issues they have and also ruins that good conversation. So it has to be addressed. And when it’s addressed, then people won’t have to bring it up anymore.

I like Wilder. Will continue to do so and will cheer on them for their fights coming up. However, Wilder is barely taking his first real crack at competition. Ortiz is coming off surgery and isn't as young. I know that will hurt the Wilder groupies but it's true.
I support the two the same, maybe it is because I'm mixed?

So the main reason Wilder is hated is because he's black?

Not because his resume is ****,

Not because he has subpar skills,

Not because he talks so much **** and doesn't back it up,

Not because he's self entitled and corny.

No. It's because he's black. We, the KKK, hate this black man but praise white boxers in Anthony Joshua and Luis Ortiz only because those two have the same colour of skin as we do. Just kill us all now.

I'm Polish but I've lived in European countries like Netherlands and the UK where there's many black people. And I've never met a black person who'd whine about injustice and who'd be as oblivious as some of you mofos on here are. It's strictly a US thing. Out of all the black people living in civilized countries, only black Americans have such victim mentality.

GTFO with that nonsense , alt right ROFL. Many people (including myself) don't like people who support fighters just because of their skin color.

With that being said Deontay Wilder has all the tools to be great, problem is I don't think their is enough talent at HW to show it.

That’s not what the OP said. Go back and read. You’re sidetracking.

Wilder suffers from coming around about 35 years too late. With his style, power and personality, him fighting in the 80's or even into the early 90's, he would have a ton of recognition as boxing was hot with the casual fan back then compared to now how little coverage it gets.Only the hardcore fans follow boxing now.
Back in the day, the networks carried alot of very good free fights mostly on the weekends and prime time which made boxers stars and set up the monster pay per view fights.Nowadays with the proliferation of channels,it would be hard to replicate.Back then most people did not have cable and you only had 3 channels to choose from which pretty much guaranteed big ratings compared to nowadays.Name recognition from the casual fan base is the key. Boxing lost it years ago.
