So if a fighter is black AND American? Forget about it. Especially if they're with Haymon.

I get PAID to deal with the trolls and even I am fed up with it and have had to finally start blocking some of them. It's an absolute shame what this site has become, especially the last 5 years in particular. In the early days, you could actually have some decent discussion on here.

Also, let's cut to the chase. It's so obvious. It's the pink elephant in the room. It's what most everybody who has already commented on this thread has said.

In addition, another reason for the extreme unjustified hatred of Deontay Wilder is because he is black. Yes I said it. Many racist bigots, who call themselves boxing fans are feuled with racial jealousy of the American black athlete in general and the American black boxer in particular; Especially the Heavyweights by the fact that this one ethnic group have almost unilaterally dominated this entire sport for nearly a century and many are very resentful of this fact. Therefore, many of them favor White Eastern Euros over their fellow Black American compatriots. For example Floyd Mayweather, Jr. Is a prime example of this.

Therefore, because of the things I mentioned; Many want to see him Deontay Wilder fail. In addition, it explains the unjustified hatred of him likewise.
I am black and don't like wilder does that mean I'm a racist too? I never saw tyson or holyfield get this type of hate wilder gets bashed because he hasn't fought anybody he talks himself up like he's done something when his resume is a joke.

Then why like a sport that historically black people have dominated?

I'm a big Joshua fan, but also a big Wilder fan. I bet you didn't know that was possible. Wilder is a bit more entertaining outside the ring than Joshua.

But what I can't understand is the hate for Wilder! The most exciting American HW since Bowe basically. A potential ATG. The man won a bronze with no amateur experience. He learned to box as a pro. Despite that he has murdered his competition and has one of the best right hands in HW history.

He helps clean the sport up. He was about to travel to Russia of all places to fight Povetkin when nobody wanted to until Povetkin popped. He tried to fight Ortiz, a guy that would give Joshua serious problems and beat Parker for his belt if you're unobjective. He gave him ANOTHER chance. He pays for his opponents VADA which Joshua has no part of, and called out Fury in his day and Joshua now.

Maybe he gets stopped Saturday. Maybe he crushes Ortiz, crushes Joshua and goes on to be one of the ATG HWs. But the man is all action, one of the best personalities the sport has seen in a decade at least, and is willing to fight the best CLEAN.

I agree with guys like Errol Spence and Wilders peers when they say Deontay might kill someone in the ring, and nobody is beating him for a while. Wilder is a straight up killer he goes out there with unwavering self belief and is ready to take a life. That's an old school fighter like Spence. Whether you like Joshua, Ortiz, or anyone Wilder should get your respect. Boxing should learn from mma and support its stars. God bless enjoy the fight Saturday.
