a dirty PED cheat that shouldn't even be licensed to box. but with that aside hes the guy people have been saying for years is the boogeyman of the HW division. everyone has been accused of ducking him. but none of that will be remembered when wilder lays him out. after the fight he will be old, slow and a worthless bum. same sht as rigo vs loma. wilder doesnt have to give this clown a payday but he just wants to silence people saying he just fights bums. fan pressure on wilder is why this is taking place.

Haymon makes all the decisions. He controls his fighters careers with a vice like grip. He was the one who made Quillin drop his belt, he was the one the made Stevenson sign with Showtime and duck Kovalev, he was the one who sold Martin's belts to Hearn, in fact it was Haymon who suggested to Hearn that Joshua fight Martin for the IBF belt. Haymon fighters have no say on who they fight.

Wilder had to fight Povetkin because he was the mandatory, Haymon would of preferred it not happen. Fact is when Wilder won the title Povetkin offered them $10 mill for a voluntary and Finkel and Haymon turned it down, saying Wilder was still a baby in heavyweight terms, despite being a pro for over 6 years and having 32 fights.

I think Wilder and Haymon fighters in general get a bad rep for ducking because Haymon is so risk adverse. Wilder I think would of fought Povetkin and anyone else but Haymon wasn't willing to risk it and didn't want to pay for better opposition for Wilder.

343 amateur victories, undefeated as professional in 30 pro fights, never been down, trains hard and stays in phenomenal physical condition 365 days of the year. Let's face it, this beast would rip the belts off Joshua and Parker. The only man in the division who can stand up to this monster and back him up is none other than The Bronze Bomber. In any other era, the Cuban would be a champion, but unfortunately for him he stepped into the wrong neighborhood. March 3 at the Barclays, let's just say I hope the man have a good dentist or else he may need dentures when I finish with him.

            Top 5.
He's still dangerous but he's also there for the taking and drastically slowing. He looks older & slower everytime out.

I was leaning on Wilder pre drug test fail after seeing Ortiz in recent training footage and his uninspiring fight with Martz I am not convinced the fight goes long at all.
            He fights like he's sleepwalking

Too slow and still too small for a blitzkrieg guy like Wilder, who is 4 inches taller, not to mention DW's long reach.

This is another mismatched fight. I can imagine DW salivating again just like in the Arreola and Stiverne fights.

Another blitzkrieg attack is planned by DW in this fight. He's enjoying it.

              Waste of time and resources.

Ortiz has one of the longest reaches in HW history at 84 inches, that's longer than Wilder's, Joshua's, both Klitschko bros and just an inch shorter than Fury's and Valuev's. He's not a small HW at all nor is he a clumsy one. Ortiz is a boxer-puncher with an extensive amateur pedigree, 80% KO ratio, undefeated record, and as far as I've seen never been hurt.

Not very. It's hard to say how good he is because he hasn't done anything.

That being said, it would be Wilder's best win if he were to pull it off.

That's my problem, to an extent with Wilder also. The guys that he's fought are underwhelming so it's difficult to know just how good he is.

I saw the Martz fight and he looked an old and slow fighter. He may still have some power in his shots but Surely wilder can manoeuvre around him with his superior reach and mobility?

That said, southpaws offer a different challenge and the Cuban system has turned out many great fighters.
