Amir mansour said he has it in good information that Ortiz is AT LEAST 48 from one of the Cuban boxers who was on the team with him. Mansour said the source is 100 percent sure of it. And just look at Ortiz lol, he looks around 50.

Joshua, deservingly the #1 seed, taking on #4 Parker, and Wilder and Ortiz, #2 and #3 (up to you which is which), in the other bracket.

Ideally the winners fight immediately after, although it may not be the worst thing for business for them to each take one more fight to increase the public's demand and desperation to see them fight in late 2018.
Yea Wilder is going out of his way to fight the guy everyone BEFORE he signed said was the boggieman. And its not a mand plus he got a built in excuse because he already signed to fight him before and he got caught cheating(2nd time). But now listen to some of these guys"15 years past prime""terrible heath""super slow"Jeez some of these fanboys are unreal

OK so how would he know? And who is this source lol?And do you take everthing Mansour says as fact? And looks don't mean s hite and he don't look about 50 to me.And the 1st time he fought in Cuban nat tourney is 2002 which if he is 38 like he says that would make him 22 at time.If he is 48-9 then he would have been 32-3 at time of 1ST NAT TOURNY CMON.He might be year or 2 older but I doubt it and he SURE AS HE LL is not 48-9

He's clearly a top 5 heavyweight at the moment. Yes he's obviously past his best like most fighters in their late 30's or older if you believe the stories. But he might be the hardest puncher in the division right now and the best counter puncher. Throw in an awkward southpaw style and you have a pretty formidable fighter.

But he has flaws. He is a pure counter puncher, he prefers to sit back and let opponents come to him, he's less effective when forced to cut off the ring. We saw that vs Scott, who he struggled to pin down. His footwork in general isn't great, he is flat footed and any boxer that moves well will give him problems.

He also fights at one pace, he struggles to move through the gears and can't react quickly enough and raise his work rate when needed to. Wilder will have success and be able to steal rounds because of this.

It's good to see Wilder finally step up. But we all know why this is happening. Ortiz is a Haymon fighter now and so win or lose Haymon keeps hold of the belt and that's why Ortiz has been chosen as the fighter for Wilder to step up a level against.

Wilder tried to fight Povetkin too.Wilder has proven he has balls not just in ring but when it comes time to put pen to paper. And Haymon cant MAKE him fight anyone.
