If he buckles down. He needs to realise he can't just coast and hope something will happen and actually use his talent from the moment the bell rings. In the Maidana fight he just couldn't handle the pressure, but two things he showed was he has a solid chin and recovers quickly when hurt and when he lets his hands go he's got precision and speed to beat most fighters, but he has a mental fart once things don't go his way and just sort of cruises.

How can people call a guy that's won titles in 4 weight divisions a bum?! If you don't like a dude fair enough and he's fallen from grace hard but you can't talk s*** like that behind a keyboard. This dude had like 300 wins as an amateur and is a multiple time world champion. He also has heart and will. I hope he bounces back because he's fun to watch.

Great post this place shuts me down as far as giving green K. Few people even remember that about maidana, how he was dominated by Alexander, not exactly mr consistency himself lol. It is like the great Tulip bubble in Holland... Just keep throwing money at it and the problem will go away.

To be fair Maidana got much better when he switched trainers. Garcia made him WAY better.

how many 'last stands' can one guy have? Thought garcia was meant to be his last one? All the talk pre fight was that he had the eye of the tiger for that one, a new adrien broner etc.

Broner was NEVER a good fighter to begin with. He's only popular because of his antics inside and out of the ring. He has no skills and is a one punch fighter and doesn't even know what combinations means. He got outboxed by Paulie and was given a gift decision and he got outboxed by Granados and get another gift decision. Dude is garbage.

Figueroa is a slightly faster, slighlty more technical version of Maidana. It wioo be a long night for Broner, I oersonally think he is done...

To be fair Maidana got much better when he switched trainers. Garcia made him WAY better.

Maidana has no great athletic talent, he gases pretty quickly the truth be told, hes a solid guy who gives a solid effort with enough power and understanding to give a good account of himself against decent comp. With that said if Broner lost to him and handled Porter, for example the conversation would be different. It would also be different if Maidana beat him and didn't abuse Broner in the ring!

Broner also got some gift decisions. There is alas, a culmulative effect of all these things.
