Is it common knowledge or have you just made it up? Do you have a source for Toney being on a drip in hosptial "to keep him alive" before the Jones fight because this is literally the first time I have heard it.

Or maybe he needed to watch Ezzard Charles vs Rex Layne again, then he might have won!

Or maybe just making him look like he'd never been in a ring before shows he was "some kind of great fighter".

"Dead body" nice excuse, as always.

Toney got a gift against Johnson

Ok pretty certain that was seldom and also in the UK.

Do you have a source for Toney Johnson and Toney Nunn being same day weigh ins?

The talk before the Prince Charles fight was James facing Michael Moorer.

You do realise that is just a poster on this forum posting his opinion?

Which logic has elluded, by the way.

Ok and he fought Prince Charles 4 months prior to Roy Jones at 168 yet apparently it's "common knowledge" that he was on his death bed the night before the fight

You can't even see how ridiculous that is.

James Toney cut massive amounts of weight his entire career. The Roy Jones fight was no different than any of his other fights. The excuse of that is only used when he lost, you literally did exactly that in this very thread. Blamed all his loss's and poor performances on something.

News flash, maybe James Toney just ain't that good.

It's very clear that Toney is a shadow of his usual self in the Jones fight. It's like night and day, not even up for debate, and Jones made hard work of it! If Jones was a great fighter he would've blown him out, simple as that - he was too scared to
