Made him look like a total amateur, totally outboxed him and dominated the first 5 rounds + KD.
Let Toney back into the fight down the stretch by cruising too much once again but even then he made Toney miss and look clumsy for the entire fight. Should have got the decision.

The first time he took time off training was after the McCallum fight - it showed in his next fight (Tiberi). His last great performance was Barkley when he trained through Xmas/NY this time, though he showed some greatness against Littles and Prince Charles by coming back and taking them
160 in the ring?That's funny.
There is literally no difference between the Toney who fought Jones and the Toney who fought them. Cut massive amounts of weight to make it.
Funny how you say that Toney was in shape at 160 then have a convenient excuse for getting beaten up and gifted a decision over Dave Tiberi. Why is it every single time he looked like dog**** there's am excuse? "Toney was active and always in shape at 160" oh er except when Tiberi beat him.
How about Sosa almost beating him at 160? Out of shape I am going to guess?Last edited by IronDanHamza; 12-08-2017, 08:44 PM.

I find it mind boggling that this literal insane opinion is still floating around out there.
Roy Jones made James Toney look like he'd have never boxed a day in his life. Roy Jones could fight James Toney with one hand tied behind his back 100 times and every single time he would dominate him.
Two total different calibur of fighters.
