All I see is a bunch of cowardly fans making excuses.
I see a lot flip-flopping frauds on here

I hear you on Mikey! While I'm applause him for chasing "big" fights, I think that he overestimates a bit his capacity to generate the "big" revenues needed for those "big" fights!Amazingly people buy it. "Calling out" but not realistically wanting the fight happens so much these days. Rigo did it for a while, Stevenson is another.
I remember Roy Jones in 2003 "I want Lennox Lewis for $100m" and that went nowhere so plenty of his fans went with it "OMG Lewis is ducking RJJ".
It's easy to call out when you don't intend to follow through but it's a way of looking feared and like you wanted the fight. I'm a Mikey Garcia fan but unfortunately I sort of get that vibe off of him lately however he has fought good opposition.
Wilder doesn't have the wins to fall back on to look legit. If the fight doesn't happen because he prices himself out your looking back on a nearly decade long career that doesn't even include one B level (or even a C level fighter) so he won't have a leg to stand on when he's claiming to be most ducked.Comment

Of course it matters, I made that comment about the Whyte fight when Joshua was not available.... Joshua is available NOW!!

Exactly, I can't fault him for not taking the Cotto fight because of the options attached to it but a Cotto win followed by a Linares win have probably boosted his capacity to generate the revenues needed for the big fights once he'd become a free agent after this 3 fights deal. In this specific case, maybe Mikey would have been better to bite the bullet in order to be in an even better position once he becomes a "free agent".I like Mikey Garcia and respect him for looking for new challenges, but he has to be careful not to burn too many bridges with promoters if he wants the big fights. Part of me feels as though he may have left TR so he could avoid an inevitable clash with Crawford. I'm still undecided on Mikey. I would like to see him in with Loma or Crawford, but I'm not sure either he or Arum want to do business with one another.
I don't blame him for not signing with GBP to get Cotto, but he's going to have to come to some sort of deal to get Linares. Seems it would have made sense to sign a three-fight deal that would have gotten him Cotto and Linares at a minimum, then one fight left on contract.Comment
