And its working out well for him...fighting on free tv and headling a ppv are two different things...you need a promoter for that
Cotto fight not ppv and all the ppv stars are out the sport besides canelo who benefited from fighting on all those Floyd ppv undercards for years

haymon has all the guys from 147 to 154 but non of them facing each other.. all we get is mismatches

All of this "he needs a promoter" talk is ******. If a guy is making $1 million - $2 million per fight, that fighter is already at the non-PPV compensation peak. Spence is already at that level going forward. It is highly unlikely that he'd become some $5+ million PPV fighter before beating Thurman. What exactly do you all think a can promoter can do for him at this point? Theyre saying he's getting $3.5 million for his next fight, but it'll likely be $2 million. That's what Kovakev got for his first fight with Ward, and more than the second. You all doesn't understand the business. GBP was trying to play him with that offer.

There are few fighters in history who ever had more than one (or two) fights in their careers where the purse was larger than $2 million. These fighters know that. They're not dumb.

Absent some proof of a potential PPV run. Nobody can do any better than the $1 million - $2 million paydays these guys are getting with Al. Just look at Thurman's purses. There are situations (like Danny's w/ HBO) that call for a mixture of forces to get the big fights, but Errol isnt in that situation. So the fights he needs are already on the way. Crawford is the only one that will require some ingenuity.

Have you been sleeping the last two years?

He has matched all of his 147 and 154 guys against each other during that period. Spence was a bit young in his career so he didn't get in the mix. (This is only his fifth year as a pro) But he'll get through 3/4 (Peterson, Garcia, Porter, and Thurman) this year. Y'all arguments make absolutely no sense.

Smart move by Spence. Haymon knows what he's doing.

Peterson's a pretty lame opponent, considering Spence only fought once in 2017
Lamont fought most of his career at 140 and he's no threat to a big WW like Spence.

Stopppp you really don't think he ducked cotto do you? He ducked delahoya taking 40% for no reason. I'd hate to see golden boy throw cotto to the wolves like that anyway

He might be getting he paid good money but the average fan doesn’t know who this kid is, fast money isn’t always the best money. He needs to be marketed
With Cotto walking away at the end of the year, and Pacquiao's exit coming not that long after, don't act as if your friend can point out who the fighters are when you bring them over to watch Golden Boy's cards either.

Outside of Canelo, point to a signed fighter who magically has all this great exposure from their promoter
