Cotto is gone after December so you might as well cashed out and made the biggest fight possible regardless if opponent signs long term or not.,

Cotto-Ali isn't going to make much money compared to cotto vs Spence, Mikey, etc
That's what I've been trying to explain to these fools on here. Better to cash out & make money on Cotto's last fight than to possibly lose money. Especially with Garcia. He'd fight Cotto then turn around & fight Linares. You essentially got him for two fights. Maybe 3 if any of those fights are close. ****** of Golden Boy to turn down Garcia because he wouldn't sign with you

I don't like how some promoters take advantage of the fighters, but some Of these fighters under value what promoters can do for them. Someone like spence should be well known

I get Spence's position. Not to mention he's going to get paid 3.5 million to fight freaking Lamont Peterson which is insane.

I'm hopeful that his popularity continues to grow. The question I have for him is if Golden Boy would have offered a contract that would have led him to Canelo or if Oscar would have gotten him a huge fight at Cowboy's stadium would he have signed.

At the end of the day Sadam Ali is getting a major shot against the last hall of famer of his generation and that's a shame.

Cotto is very lucky. Spence would blow him away very early. Cotto doesn't deserve to be carried out on his back in his final fight.

Outside of Canelo & GGG. What current fighters did your friends know?

Just remind them you can't duck somebody not in your weight class (GGG-Ward)

Woulda given him a better chance than Mikey. Saw an interview with Mikey & he said it was his father who pushed him away from the fight. Not only because of the contracts but also because Cotto is much bigger & still dangerous

Spence wants to clean out the welterweight division and I believe him.
Amir Khan said the same thing five years ago...I didn't believe him and was proved right.
I'm just stating the difference between real fighters and fakes .Errol Spence is a breath of fresh air , expect him to stay that way.

It's not the ******* and alcohol part that bothers me.

He made a good move. He's getting Paid well already, and is a great fighter where I see him becoming unifyd, I think he will be fine without a promoter, but damn him vs Cotto would have been an awesome fight. Sucks it's not happening, very intriguing fight.

Cotto would have been a big name on his win record in a fight he could have won, but then the contractual part he didn't want a part of. Oscar has been trying to get Spence on his team for a long time.
