I said it was gonna be Ward's best performance and boy was I horribly horribly wrong!
You should expect another close fight with the same outcome.

Prove that Ward did. Prove that Ward's camps version is true. Prove that Kovalev's camps version is true. Prove that the whole thing isn't just publicity stunts.

      Can't.

        But times change I guess..............
Head games have been a part of boxing for decades. From Jack Johnson, Max Baer, Ali, Roberto Duran, Tyson, and many others.

For a so called boxing promoter you come across as ignorant when it comes to the history of boxing. You're in good company with the other morons in here.

Just because she is saying that they had known about it since before camp doesn't mean its true. She probably found out the same way Kovalev did because this is something that she could've and should've addressed back then. Ward's team could've messed up Kovalev's entire training camp had it been put out immediately, no need to wait if its just mind games.

I do believe it was Ward's side that initiated contact with JDJ; but the latter should have never responded with an asking price unless he had completely dissassociated himself with Kovalev as his trainer. Ultimately Jackson is a consultant for hire but loyalty is still an attribute that carries weight, even in boxing. Now, "I'm still here" means nothing.

Also, since this conversation was made through Ward's attorney, any claim that all this was done without the fighter's approval becomes disengenous.

I wasnt promoting back in the days of Jack Johnson or Ali, so I cant speak about what games might have went on back then. Like I said, its always nice to glorify the past and assume these sorts of things didnt happen.

I didnt figure you were too ****** to understand what I meant. My bad.

If that's what you thought was going to happen- considering I don't think I've ever seen Ward stoop someone with a single body shot, especially at a higher weight-then there is no reason to listen to you about any fight prediction whatsoever.

Actually, Duva is the only one who doesn't come across badly in this sorry saga. Everyone else comes off looking crap:

Kov - for marginalising JDJ and not listening to him, then denigrating him as a trainer, even saying he is a mitt-holder.

JDJ - for saying his first reaction to the offer was "how much"? Seriously, dude? You have a price?

Ward's Team: for this ridiculous attempt at mind games. Seriously, is this where boxing wants to go? Where trainers are made offers to switch sides before a fight? Do you know how ridiculous boxing would be if you can simply pay to disrupt a fighters whole camp? And not just that - are Team Ward that worried about Kovalev? I mean, as Dubin says, it was like making the "bully pee down their leg". Yeah, right.

As for Duva - at least she was not involved in this sorry episode. And anyway, it is Roc Nation who are fronting and running the promotion, as per their agreement.
