thats one of the best things about himSo true. His fights, despite the fact he is very skilled, are very boring. He does what it takes to win even if that means him going into Billy goat mode. My biggest beef with Ward is his inactivity. He hardly ever fights. But he definitely has the talent. Just wish he would display it more often.Comment

It's disgustingly boring; I favour watching technicians and don't like sluggers or brawlers but he is. Ppl want to watch a FIGHT, and i hate when he talks of it as inside fighting when all he does is running on to clinch and arm punching with the free arm. Go watch some Toney to aee how it's done.

Yeah, I can agree with a lot of points here.I personally dont like wards style but for him it seems to be effective. The worst thing is that he is a dirty gritty win at all costs fighter who is proclaimed by most to have the most sublime skillset since floyd mayweather. If he just acknowledged his style rather than try to have us believe he is some kind of solid technician...he might get some kudos. But acting like his wins come from some god given talent that is up and above every other fighter out there is just annoying and makes him come across as pretentious.
I also think that, via fighting "at home" and being Olympic Gold medallist, Ward has been given a ridiculous amount of leeway for his clinching and butting tactics.Comment

I don't mind it even though I think he is a little excessive with the dive in headbutts with the clinch.Comment
no joke I fell asleep during Ward vs Rodriguez and I never fall asleep during fights.
