Boxing is the hurt business and entertainment, Ward is literally the opposite. Couldnt knock out Amir Khan if he tried and is a total party ******, zero charisma, null entertaining.

when you are wearing boxing gloves and someone hooks you around the arm its not that easy to free yourself as you can see. what happens is what happened in the kessler gif, you have to use your other arm to push off and break free otherwise ward will keep punching you with his free left arm and when you do push off thats when ward gets in other cheap free shot which he never would have been able to land if he did not initiate the first grab.

the only other thing the fighter can do is start wildly throwing punches while ward hooks them but then you just get that khan gif with both guys bashing each other in the back of the head and ward and his fanboys will start complaining that the other guy is rabbit punching. seen that same scenario over and over where the guy who initiates the cheating starts crying and gets the ref on his side. the bika fight for example.

Totally agree. It's very clever but it makes for terrible fights. And it's just cheating to entice the opponent to go wild as you say. I'd describe him as an instigator. People wonder why he gets "hate."

                  how is it even clever?

it's basically like hey the ref is going to let me get away with fouling. so i'm going to keep breaking the rules.

are delinquent youths the most clever?

and you can see ward started it all. look at where his hand is. around bikas back. bika starts squirming while trying to punch out and ward punishes him with a vicious headbutt. bikas fault!

you can also see the ref yelling probably stop while rushing in and literally putting his arms out on ward but ward continues to throw punches anyway. ref doesnt even care of course and ward fans prob score that as a nice clean punch.

                    • There was a guy named Ricky Hatton who fought like Ward in his hometown.

Then he came to Vegas and got KOed left right and centre after a neutral ref enforces the actual rules of boxing.

I remember there were talks of Hatton being HOFer. LMAO dude is a bum. without hometown refs .

Ward would suffer the same fate if there was a ref that actually enforced the rules of boxing and rightfully penalized him for his illegal tactics.

or even broke up clinches immediately. so he can't waste a round by clinching and hugging.
