  • If Jacobs vs Canelo was the cash cow fight....

If Jacobs vs Canelo was the cash cow fight instead of GGG vs Canelo then GGG would have lost the fight. There's a mountain of cash to be made by HBO and everyone else for that fight and so Jacobs was fighting an uphill battle. Jacobs won and GGG knows it but at the end of the day when you're not the draw you may not be given the nod even if clearly won. Canelo vs Lara comes to mind. Still want to see GGG vs Canelo it will be a great fight, hence me just saying that tells you why they couldn't have Jacobs get the victory he earned. In all honesty even though Jacobs won I'd rather see that match up of GGG vs Canelo.

Jacobs outboxed Lil g for 7 rounds (latter half of fight) and landed more significant punches aside from the KD. Pitter patter jabs that do nothing don't count as much as a mean combination to the dome piece.

Lol Jacobs outboxed him for 7 rounds? You high? Look at what the punch stats show. Golovkin outpunched/outlanded him in 9 out of 12 rounds with 1 round even. He also controlled the fight with his jab by outjabbing him in every round, sometimes significantly. And I know you're r3tarded put GGGs jabs are anything but "pitter-patter". His jabs are like most fighters power punches which is why Jacobs was forced to wear shades in the post fight conference to cover up two black eyes!

If anybody was throwing pitter-patter punches it was your homegirl Jacobs. GGG blocked the vast majority of his weak shots and the ones that landed on the "dome piece" didn't trouble GGG once which is why he marched forward all night and left the fight without a scratch on his face. So much for Jacobs having a 90% KO ratio which should've been magnified by his 20lbs weight advantage lol. Jacobs did land more power punches (18 in total) but his connect percentage was significantly lower (39% to GGG 49%). As you know, HBO stats for decades show the fighter who lands half his power shots always wins the fight which is exactly what happened.

        Fought all No-hopers & a welterweight(147).

        Actively Ducking CANELO , LARA & JACOBS @ 160.
        Lots of hater bullsquat here.

GGG didn't duck Ward. While GGG was becoming a name Ward was busy ducking his promoter. He fought 2 times in 4 years and hasn't weighed less than 170 pounds since 2013. How can GGG duck someone who wasn't fighting and was fighting far above him in weight once he came back to fighting.

Erislandy Lara-Talks a bunch of crap but he's one division lower. You can't duck someone who's fighting at a lower weight. Lara could have moved up whenever he wanted to force the issue. Instead we get to see him fight monsters like Vanes Mate-whatever his name is and that rabbi who once lost to Cotto at Yankee stadium 5 years previously.

Hopkins-He was fighting at light heavyweight. Who would have given GGG any credit for making an almost 50 year old man drop down a division to fight?

Sergio Mora- WTF. Mora has only beaten one really good fighter his entire career and that was back in 2008. And he got dominated in the rematch. GGG is an HBO fighter. Its physically impossible for an HBO fighter to duck someone who is an ESPN Friday Night fights level guy.

Chavez Jr-Could have fought GGG anytime he wanted. But he's too busy fighting random people in order to eat their food.

Edwin Rodriguez-He wasn't even champion in his own division and you expected GGG to move up to fight him. Why? Its not like he's a threat. This guy just got knocked out in the second round by a journeyman.

Zurdo-He's a champion at 168 now and I think that fight happens soon. Once GGG finishes up his business at 160 I am sure we'll see that fight.

Canelo-Canelo gave up his belt and chose to fight the least talented Smith brother for a meaningless belt he didn't even bother defending. Canelo said he wanted to grow into 160 before fighting GGG and is now jumping straight to 164 to fight someone else.

You've eaten some tainted tacos mofo. Its got your head all twisted.

Jesus Christ. All these people crying robbery after a close fight which was decided by a combined 7 points on three judges cards. 7 points which included the 3 points (one from each judge) that Jacobs lost when he got dropped.

Canelo and Golovkin were on collision course because Canelo was the WBC belt holder and Golovkin wanted to fight for that title.

Canelo gave up his belt to avoid having to fight GGG. That fact alone proves the fallacy of what you are saying there.

            • GGG won the fight and the fact you thought Danny won the 11 and 12 shows how biased you are. That said

Danny can get it at the end of the year if he wants after GGG gets all the belts.

              • Jacobs deserved a draw at least for the effort over GGG

No one wants to see Jacobs fighting any one on PPV as good as Jake is there is little excitement over another colored boxer,
Two white guys boxing is what the fans want. Jake is correct that boxing fans want to see GGG vs Canelo in a super bout. Coloreds generate little fan interest and usually are boring and dull. White fighters create excitement and white fans spend all the money along with what the mex's have. That is the truth and not to hurt or insult anyone like Jacobs who is a nice colored kid. White boxers create excitement and have the fans coming in droves spending money. Jacobs is not a PPV boxer period. Charlo beats GGG and Canelo.

                • Canelo gave up his belt to GGG. GAVE UP his belt. Do people realize this? And now like the guy above said he is fighting a guy that weighs more. If its not obvious now that Canelo doesnt want anything to do with GGG, then when will it be?

Maybe the problem isn't with the color but the fact that African Americans aren't supporting their own people. Mexican's support Mexican fighters. Puerto Ricans support Puerto Rican fighters. Irish and British fight fans will fly across oceans to support their guys. Outside of Floyd Mayweather Jr which African American fighters get a lot of support from their own people. And lets face it, they are supporting him because he's already at the top. They weren't there as he was making his way up.

As for the popularity of GGG and Kovalev. These "white guys" were destroying mofos. That's why they are popular. People who always go for the knock out and get them are always going to be popular.
