Canelo has time on his side... According to ggg and his team, if Canelo was going to face ggg it was going to be at the full 160! Ggg team said this, so of course now that they played that card Canelo just used t against them and now they have to wait there turn. Ggg and Canelo could of fought already but ggg like always is unwilling to move an ounce being the b side! He originally stated he only wanted the belt, Canelo gave it to him, and now they still crying for a fight... They want more money, at their weight!!! Who is the a side here? Isn't it Canelo? Shouldn't ggg give concessions? If you say no, fine, but now he has to wait his turn like a good boy should.

That is pure fantasy. The fight was NEVER on the table. Not at 155, or 156, or 158, or anything.

dropped the belt, went on to fill 52k seats at cowboys stadium that's more than half what ggg sold on ppv lol!!! I say his rep is fine with the public. And he is in better position to negotiate the money terms because of dropping the belt. Good move in my opinion.

But its NOT a clean deal. A rematch clause for Chavez PROVES its not a clean deal. And the fight is 9 months away at the earliest. Further negotiations at this moment are not delaying the fight by a single day.......
Fair enough. So we agree there is a deal and Canelo ain't no ducker and ggg can take it or leave it! Thanks

At the end of the day boxing is a business. Chavez Jr brings viewership numbers AND he's willing to fight for $6 million plus 20% of the PPV.

If it makes dollars than it makes cents (sense...get it?)

I cant say that one way or the other because who knows if there is a poison pill in the offer?

You dont get points for making an offer you know someone will have to reject

it was never on the table because ggg and his team said they wouldn't move an ounce for one, two Canelo and golden boy had 14 days to come up with a dea if not itd go to purse big which ggg would then receive 45 of the pie... So Canelo said f.uck the WBC and ggg here is your belt... Easy to call and every one went on to say Canelo ducked when the reason he vacated is because ggg and his team were unwilling o move from 160 as the b side. Ggg fault not Canelo. He got his belt, he still crying for a fight at his weight and wants 40% that's laughable he gonna price himself out lol. No one to blame but triple b side.

you keep saying stuff that no one can know, WHAT WE DO KNOW, is that it's 15+ million! Sign or get out is my position of I'm golden boy. Heck, if I were them I wouldn't even of went that far anyway, it'd be at 55 and 10 mil not no 160 at 15 mill

Im just keeping it short because can't bebothered getting into it too much explained it several times before...
$15m flat fee is a fxcking joke and its a year in advance, either give a percentage or fxck right off and stop pretending you want this fight.
Canelo can have 60-40 or 65-35 but him and his team need to stop fooling everyone.

[QUOTE=OnePunch;17365423]This has been beaten to death, but you havent the slightest idea what other "conditions" were in that so-called $15 million offer.

And FYI, not everyone will simply bend over and drop their pants the second someone flashes a few pieces of silver at them. Maybe thats how YOU roll, but some people prefer to actually negotiate a better deal for themselves......[/QUOTE/]

I agree. Some argue that Golovkin is approaching age 35 and should just take the money and run. I would think that because of his age he wants to get a bigger piece of the pie. He has every right to get his fair share. It will be one of the biggest fights on PPV. I for one believe GBP doesn't want this fight until GGG ages just a bit more ala Floyd/PAC.

Like anyone else though I can certainly get annoyed when what I perceive as an unreasonable demand is holding up a fight that I want to see happen. But that doesnt mean that person shouldnt have the right to negotiate. It just means I disagree with their position.

But I suspect they dont really care much about what I think lol
I will admit that I was annoyed with Jacobs for wanting a bigger split than the mandated 25% for a regular champion. The same way I was annoyed with Canelo demanding a catch weight for a mandatory defence. However i realised that if the Jacobs fight went to purse bid Jacobs would just vacate like Canelo then turn around and say Golovkin ducked him. Here is what is bothering me. Golovkin is one belt away from being undisputed champion (BJS needs to fight or vacate). Canelo brings no titles to the table. And Golovkin is willing to take a 40/60 split to fight Canelo. But it is Golovkin who is unreasonable?
