In my opinion a somewhat obscure mandatory challenger with no significant following is being "excessive" when they are demanding north of $2 million.

But thats just my opinion. They are free to try and get more, and in this instance they were successful. It could just as easily torpedoed the fight.

what's his highest purse to date? It's below 7 so that is at least double or maybe even triple what he has ever made at 35 yrs now. Nothing wrong with him negotiating, after all ta a business. He can try, all I'm saying is Canelo and gbp should of made him come to 155 and kept it at 10 mil. Take it or leave it. If he leaves it, Canelo loses nothing.
