you right, my point is simple, there is an offer for 2,3,4 times the amount you have ever made and will ever make, you getting old, don't go calling Canelo no ducker when in fact the deal is on the table. I can say the same thing, you have by the slightest idea of the other terms either, but money wise we know. It's 3 times your highest pay day. If ggg don't sign it's a duck simple

In my opinion a somewhat obscure mandatory challenger with no significant following is being "excessive" when they are demanding north of $2 million.

But thats just my opinion. They are free to try and get more, and in this instance they were successful. It could just as easily torpedoed the fight.

Smart move. Make the money and keep running because GGG will end the cash train within 8 rounds.

If its a "clean" deal, with no rematch language, no options, etc, and it gets to the point where its "take it or leave it", then yes, if I were advising GGG I would advise him to take it.

But its NOT a clean deal. A rematch clause for Chavez PROVES its not a clean deal. And the fight is 9 months away at the earliest. Further negotiations at this moment are not delaying the fight by a single day.......

There's zero reason to believe Canelo is facing Golovkin within the next two years. If ever.

-- Dropping a belt after talking crap
-- Making a flat offer followed by finger pointing
-- Not choosing opponents that would help prepare him for a fighter like GGG

                  This fight isn't happening.

Canelo has no problem making it to 160 and probably little problem making it to 168lbs yet he will fight at a catchweight of 164.5lbs against Chavez Jr.

Compare fight night weights to get a good grasp on it, there is literally no reason for Canelo to even remain at the weight he wants to be at (154lbs) because there is no big money fight in that division, he is being advised to do it because the threat at 160 is too great a blind man could see this but the 160lbs division has big money fights in it.

Chavez Jr is a guy who has had a long lay off, was beat badly by Fonfara and has had/shown lack of commitment to the training and the sport of boxing but is a Mexican big name because of his fathers legacy, its a risk to fight Chavez Jr but its nowhere near as big of a risk to fight Chavez that it is to fight GGG.

Whilst Oscar and Canelo adviser are to blame I still believe Canelo should be held accountable for his own actions there have been too many B.S. fights, too many catchweights If Canelo wants to fight GGG I honestly believe it could happen this May but he isn't forcing it like he did with Lara because he knows this one is a much greater threat than he has ever had to deal with in his professional career.
That's a sign of weakness especially when you take in all the factors which I've highlighted for you.
                    • Used multiple catchweights (155lbs) as an excuse to not fight the guy we want him to fight
                    • Avoided going to full 160 limit
                    • His fight night weight is higher than GGG's (GGG: 170-172, Canelo: 172-176)
                    • He is bypassing 160 limit to fight at 164.5lbs
                    • He promised to make the GGG fight yet used excuses of weight being the issue yet willing to go to 164.5lbs for Chavez jr and weights more on fight night than GGG
                    • Says he needs time to grow into the 160 full limit yet here he is willing to surpass that limit of 160

Its at a point where you can't even defend him, sad because I use to really like this guy.
That's cute, Canelo is doing what's best for him business wise. Of course he'd rather fight jr with less risk and a very high reward, and if that fight does great numbers which it has all the potential to do, ggg will get pushed back even more lol true. Canelo has time on his side... According to ggg and his team, if Canelo was going to face ggg it was going to be at the full 160! Ggg team said this, so of course now that they played that card Canelo just used t against them and now they have to wait there turn. Ggg and Canelo could of fought already but ggg like always is unwilling to move an ounce being the b side! He originally stated he only wanted the belt, Canelo gave it to him, and now they still crying for a fight... They want more money, at their weight!!! Who is the a side here? Isn't it Canelo? Shouldn't ggg give concessions? If you say no, fine, but now he has to wait his turn like a good boy should.

if the deal doesnt get made, I hope Loeffler quits with the "Switzerland" routine and makes public the terms of the offer.

Every other day Oscar says some ****** crap making Loeffler look like a clown, and all Loeffler says is "derp derp derp I have a great relationship derp derp derp".

                      Its annoying as hell..............
