you can check his record until he retired the 1st time, he never lost fighting a welterweight (avenging his only loss to a middleweight FIVE times), he was never stopped except when fighting the 175 world champion and that was because ofthe heat in a fight he was otherwise dominating.

most of the losses you are talking about come after he was 40, fighting with visible signs of brain damage

no its not obvious at all since robinson was never stopped by his opponent

    1. hearns would outbox tito even without his right hand winning a decision

    2. hearns used to put people to sleep with ONE punch, tito rarely did so.

    3. Tito is conditioned for 12 rounders, hearns ran out of steam in a 15 rounder...

Leonard too small to fight tito... ask hagler, ask hearns (both bigger and stronger than tito)... look at leonard belts at 160,168 and 175

Leonard lost a lot of rounds? to who? hearns, hagler, duran? based on that you are suggesting he would lose rounds to tito? Hearns outboxed leonard for a fight adn could not put him out, and you think tito would?

You must be kidding me. The man dominated the division for years without losing. One of the hardest punchers in the history of that division, only Hearns is ahead of him, when it comes to power.

        • One thing I want to add about 2 sugar rays.

Leonard - Way underrated power - Better KO ratio then Robinson

Robinson - A little overrated power

The reason I consider Robinson the greatest boxer of all time is, because of his 96 straight wins. That is crazy, even he was beating on bunch of slow white guys.

            • WMUTE - You make good points. But that's the dilemmia, leonard, hearns, hagler, duran...were all greats and tested eachother. Had incredable fights that you can now reference. Tito, as a welterweight, never had that. He destroyed the best around at the time. The only one that tested him was Oscar, and that was flat out a dissapointing fight. Unfortuntly, Tito didn't have enought legendary fighters around in his era. But maybe he was just that much better then the rest. That's my point and judging from the fights I saw, Tito would be brawling with all those dude and most likly be winning, if he was thrown back in that era.

Yep I agree, one of the most powerful welters ever. Not to mention the best left hook at 147 ever.

He never dodged a fight....he took on the best at WW and beat the crap out of all of them....you guys know that say why deny it

Tito is way underrated, if he was Mexican, he would've been overrated like Chavez.
