I highly doubt Canelo's "ego" is holding back this fight. Lara got 1 million to Canelo's 1.5 million for their base salaries before PPV revenue and Lara didn't bring anything to the table. Canelo gave in to every single one of Cotto's demands, Canelo gave in to Mayweather's 152 catch weight. Canelo has demonstrated that he'll do what he can to make fights happen.

You need to face the fact that Candelita's legacy will ALWAYS be: lost to Mayweather, ducked GGG, and was ODLH's street girl. He could beat 100 more overmatched or smaller boxers but it won't make one bit of difference.
