67/33 split is what's fair. Just make the fight that's fair. Canelo keeps asking for 75% or 85% or whatever like he's the biggest draw in history. Just make the damn fight already! Canelo already d*cked fans around with GGG, calling him in the ring. Is he even going to tease us with something we weren't even asking for, only to plant the idea but then deny us at the last minute?

Maybe Canelo wants boxing fans to totally turn on him? Because this is getting ridiculous. I don't think he has the personality to go full heel and act like Floyd, so all they are doing is trying the respect of the People he had built up as a true, "good guy" Mexican champion with balls to face anyone. If Chavez Jr. asks for more than 35% then Canelo has a right to walk away, but since Chavez Sr. already said Jr. would take 30-35%, it sounds like it's Canelo's side being unreasonable once again.

And this is a fight he really wants, not one he's been ducking aggressively.

Chavez may not bring a lot of legitimacy to this fight but he does bring money. I don't see how 30-35% isn't fair.

That's exactly the problem. Best believe GBP has their bean counters working the numbers. Any rope given in negations will be used against them in future contract disputes...GGG. This is precisely why DLH offered the flat fee once again.

Canelos got a problem. This fight isn't getting made with Chavez getting less than 35%. And if he's conceding 35% to this bum, how can he offer a flat fee for the biggest fight in boxing? Obvious duck, but maybe he's embracing his duck rep. Alternative is a snoozer vs BJS and risk getting outsold by Gggs next Ppv.

The audacity of chavez jr saying we should act like professionals. This is a guy who forced a HOF trainer to train him in his living room ffs.

I highly doubt Canelo's "ego" is holding back this fight. Lara got 1 million to Canelo's 1.5 million for their base salaries before PPV revenue and Lara didn't bring anything to the table. Canelo gave in to every single one of Cotto's demands, Canelo gave in to Mayweather's 152 catch weight. Canelo has demonstrated that he'll do what he can to make fights happen.

****s like Chavez Jr. and Little G try to take advantage of people's hate for Canelo by negotiating through the media because they know people will side with them.

What do you mean, negotiate through the media? This flat fee garbage from team GBP, what's that? What about forfeiting the belt to move down for Liam Smith, more K2 media spin?
