i know not having a Kovalev-ward rematch would suck.... but if he is for real i hope he follows through and retires.... this guy is bad for boxing, like cancer bad.

90% of the folks on here trashing Ward and screaming that he absolutely has to rematch Kovalev will not buy the ppv. They want the fight to happen, but only to see the results....i.e Ward getting an official loss. Same folks talk of how Ward isn't a draw and is boring then criticize him for saying that if he can't get the right deal he will retire. You acknowledge that he can't get the money he may want but then think it cowardly to walk away for feeling underpaid? If you had enough money to retire or had other job options would you work a dangerous job for less than you thought you were worth? Nope.

Same thing can be said for ggg haters that want him to move up two weight classes y'all just want to see him lose to call him a bum.

So you don't know what the word "legitimately" means? And even if he had beaten Kovalev, does one win against an elite fighter you're entire career mean you've "accomplished everything" lol? Ward fans excuse for the Kovalev robbery has been that the "fight was so close, it could have gone either way." Okay then, even by that logic, Ward still didn't really win, it just could have gone either way. An even fight. A draw. So even Ward fans admit Ward has never clearly beaten a top guy. The Kovalev "win" is contested by all... neutrals say Kovalev got robbed, Ward fans say it could have gone either way... so outside of a contested "win" vs Kovalev, what elite guy did he beat?

If Kovalev was so good, he would have beat Ward. Ward was the challenger. And the fight could have gone either way, but it went Wards way because Kovalev got beat. Lots of fights can go either way but the winner is still the winner. Krusher Kovalev? He knocked Ward down and took his foot off the gas for the next 10 rounds and expected Ward to back down. Instead, Ward adjusted and took control while you and that smelly **** Duva thought Kovalev win the fight in round 2.

Some advice. Boxing is usually a chess match, its not about who hits harder or who is bigger. Skill and smarts usually win you lots of fights. Its not about going in there throwing wild punches like an idiot, its abut adjustments and solving your opponent and taking away their strengths. Lots of boxing fans think just because you use your hands that you need to KO everybody and throw a million punches, it doesnt work that way. Not everyody can fight like steroid Pacman

Make the rematch Andre. It was a close fight a Kov deserves to be given another shot. If it was a walkover retirement talk may be warranted. It wasn't though. MAKE THE REMATCH!!

On paper ward defeated Kovalev but in the ring Kovalev defeated ward....
