Let him retire so we can focus on current fighters and track their inactivities. The rematch with Kovalev is pointless. It will be no different from the first fight. Maybe even worse.

Kovalev is the true champ. he isnt a coward and make terms to avoid a fight. he went to US with 3 belts and dominated while ward got a gift decision winning 4-5 rounds at best.Comment

90% of the folks on here trashing Ward and screaming that he absolutely has to rematch Kovalev will not buy the ppv. They want the fight to happen, but only to see the results....i.e Ward getting an official loss. Same folks talk of how Ward isn't a draw and is boring then criticize him for saying that if he can't get the right deal he will retire. You acknowledge that he can't get the money he may want but then think it cowardly to walk away for feeling underpaid? If you had enough money to retire or had other job options would you work a dangerous job for less than you thought you were worth? Nope.Comment

This might not be a popular opinion but I think the statements from both camps are good for the rematch.
I don't believe Ward is willing to retire but his nonchalant attitude and Kov's bitterness have kept people interested in another fight.....certainly isn't because of Main Events or Roc Nation.Comment
