NOT ONLY THAT, but scoring rounds isn't just on 'clear and difinitive' punches, it's ring generalship. Solimon made Winky look like an amateur that night, not the other way around.
Hah, my ****ing point exactly..... which I stated a page ago. This is basically an ideaological debate since neither person will differ in how they choose to score. You say Solimon had ring generalship, I say it was Winky who was the true general since Solimon's aggression wasn't effective 75% of the time.
It's the same reason why Taylor Vs Hopkins I&II can be scored differently and I don't consider it crazy.
Ok, Soliman landed more punches, puffed Winky's face up like a cream puff, took the fight to him yet Winky lands because he landed sharper blows yet he's a feather duster and couldn't even stop Soliman in his tracks. Yeah, right.

That's not viable because neither fighter outworked, outlanded and outfought like Solimon did.
Seriously, I don't want to bring race into this buddy BUT some of the guys here don't think Soliman won because he had an ugly style and he was foreign. I know there aint no racists here, but some dudes are patriotic as HELL.

Clearly you've never read my posts about America if you're attempting to masterfully guise calling me a nationalistic nuthugger.
Your definition of outfought is the heart of the debate, which is exactly why neither of us will think the other is correct. If a spectator or judge awards aggression, so be it. If a judge awards defense, so be it. If a judge awards clean punching, so be it. There are different ways to properly judge a fight so there is not always a right or wrong answer, despite having an opinion on it.
True. We can have this debate for days but nothing is changing either person's ideas. It's all good though, I like actually having a decent debate with someone.
Just curious...what do you base Winky beating Taylor on? Not that your opinion sucks, but it seems like a lot of people are picking Winky because Winky is hard to hit and has a good jab and made Trinidad and Mosley look foolish. Problem with that is Mosley and Trinidad are naturally 147lbers, Mosley probably naturally a 140lber. Wright is a natural 154lber, and Taylor is a natural 160lber. Taylor is bigger and stronger than Wright and has a better jab. Wright has not faced an opponent who was his size since he faced Candelo I believe in 2003. He's never fought someone who was as big as Taylor is.
I don't think that Taylor is that much stronger than Winky. Winky spent a long time at 154, and I think he is a very solid middleweight right now. I definately don't think that Taylor has a better jab than Wright. Taylors jab is fast, but he jumps in with it and as everyone knows, pulls his right hand way back.
Taylor carries his lead hand a lot lower than Wright and throws his jab from a lower angle. I think that Wright is going to fire his jab at the same time that Taylor is jabbing, and his jab is going to go over top of Taylor's jab and catch him, since Wright throws his jab from a very high angle. This will nullify Taylor's jab and lead Wright to a win.
