Garcia didn't win the title a few years ago... he won the title from Guerrero this year. You seem to be missing the point. I'm not attacking Guerrero, what I'm saying is that DSG is not a legit 147 champion.

This is rubbish. Lemieux brought legitimate belt to the table. Jacobs's regular VBA belt is glorified mandatory position. Lemieux deserved more and rightly so. My personal opinion is that if they ever fight Lemieux obliterates Jacobs.

If Jacobs thinks he can win, he will make this fight happen. If he doesn't, then clearly he never thought he could win and was just bull****ting the way everyone else in this sorry excuse of a weight class does.

If he beats Golovkin, he's instantly one of the biggest American stars in the sport. No excuse besides fear to not take the fight. Even if he only gets 25%. He can make up the difference and then some next time he fights.

Nope. I said they can change those rules, if they think it necessary. It says that clearly at their website. Whether they actually did change them for GGG is open to debate and depends how you, and the WBC, interpret those rules. It's all history now anyway.

Then why doesn't Jacobs take the 25-75 split (or whatever was offered to him), beat him easily, become lineal/unified world champion (no one believes Canelo is the real MW champion) and then calls the shots for fights against:

BJS, Canelo, Golovkin rematch, Eubank Jr, Lee, etc, for much more money.

Oh wait, Jacobs said Golovkin was the best of his generation. I'm confused.

Golovkin is already on record saying that he's not going to fight Saul Alvarez for the at leat $10m that's been currently offered; I'd hold my tongue before talking ****.
