You're so biased and uh, misinformed... lol. Brook brought an entire country of support with him. Jacobs brings as many FREE viewers on Showtime as Canelo brings PPV buys. GGG averages over 1 mil viewers on premium cable. Jacobs did like 300k vs Quillin.

So GGG is worth about four times the purse, based on ratings, as Jacobs. If Jacobs wants 3 mil for the fight, then the total purse would have to be 15 mil, so GGG could get 12. But is the purse for this fight 15 mil? Absolutely not. GGG is going to give Jacobs 3 mil and take a PAYCUT himself in terms of deserved percentages. GGG will probably only make slightly more than Jacobs, even though he deserves way more.

That just shows GGG is bending over backwards trying to accommodate Jacobs to make this fight, but Jacobs is so scared of him, no matter what GGG offers, he keeps turning it down. That's why he said even if he got offered twice his career high payday to fight GGG, he might not take it because he could just fight "two Quillin's" instead. He literally sees GGG as riskier to fight once than fighting the power punching Quillin TWICE.

except haymon was spending money out his ass at that time so kovalev didn't risk losing the bid and kovalev never ducked the fight. he's tried to make it ever since leaving the purse bid but stevenson continues to duck and fight in front of less people, wiith worse ratings, and for less money. oh well. kovalev was hoping stevenson's popularity would fall and he would be forced into taking the fight but he didn't realize how much of a coward stevenson truly was. not even the money can get him in the ring now.

If K2 is all or nothing on a 75/25 split and won't budge and this fight falls through then it's Tom & K2 that don't want this fight, which wouldn't suprise me damn shame because besides Jacobs or Saunders maybe Eubank what other decent names are there for Gennady at MW in December.

I called this last month. K2 had no reason to negotiate a deal when the purse bid was going to entitle them to 75%.

Now look for two things to happen. Either Haymon will break the bank to get Golovkin over to Showtime. Or Jacobs will be forced to vacate the belt because of the low percentage he's being offered.

What needs to get more attention is what the WBA will set for the purse split. Apparently they're reviewing the split and if it changes from 75-25 to let's say 60-40, that would really throw a wrench into K2's plans.
