Funny how Jacobs thinks he can change the rules. What is next? If the WBA agrees then tons of fighters will come out and demand a different split, a higher purse.

PBC just produced a ton of terrible none fighters and inactive, money hungry boxing divas. Disgusting. Danny better not pull out of this after talking so big.

Remember, the WBA ordered the mando, knowing GGG and Jacobs, I doubt they cared to fight. Last I remember from beating Brook, Golovkin specifically stated he wanted Saunders. The WBO. hence the legacy for all the belts. What does Gennady care of the ''Regular'' belt.
Golovkin, walking away from a mandated fight, leads to him being stripped of the WBA title (likely setting up Jacobs vs Alfonso Blanco or Jacobs vs EubankJr for the WBA 160lb title).

so much for "unifying the belts"

This is no bueno, when 2 sides don't agree, then logic says there are problems with money, if this goes to purse bid 2 scenarios might happen.

        1) Haymon wins the bid, fight goes to PBC, Golovkin is contracted to only fight on HBO, fight won't happen ( I don't know what happens to both Jacobs and Golovkin belts if this happens, can someone educate me on this? )

        2) HBO wins the bid, fight goes to HBO, 25% won't get Jacobs satisfied, so he will vacate, Golovkin will be WBO only champion, fight won't happen.

Golovkin vs Brook took literally 2 days to get done, Golovkin vs Jacobs has as far as I'm concerned 26 days and an agreement hasn't been reached, no bueno.

you are a lot smarter than some of the other observers

Al Haymon fighters are constantly trying to break the rules. If it goes to purse bid, the split is 75% - 25%. It's always been that way. Jacobs ratings were horrible even when he had a great opponent in his hometown. He is lucky to even get 25%.

The different ways these fighters find to duck GGG are incredible. It was obvious Jacobs was scared before, but I held out hope after the Brook fight that he wasn't scared anymore. It's obvious he's still scared. These Haymon fighters are a joke. Even the seeming good ones like Jacobs who have fought through so much end up letting you down in the end. Maybe it's time fans apply the logic towards Canelo to all Haymon fighters, and just start boycotting all of them. I hate to do guilt by association so maybe there can be a few exceptions for the few exceptions in his stable like Thurman, but otherwise it's hard to really support any of these guys when all of them seem to have been brainwashed by Haymon and Floyd to follow the same sport-destroying strategy of ducking, ducking, and ducking some more.

            JACOBS STOP DUCKING GGG!

Golo is contracted to an "HBO only contract" as far as I know.

And this isn't similiar to the Kovalev purse bid stuff because Golovkin has more money behind him than Kov has with Main Events and this type of scenario is most likely addressed in Golovkin's contract with HBO and k2. K2 knew this type of thing could happen. My guess is that if k2 were to lose a purse bid, Golovkin would be free to fight on a different network...but that is only a guess and i dont think k2 would lose a purse bid anyway, unless a big money russian sneaks in.
Golovkin doesn't have more money behind him than Jacobs does, though.

Golovkin-Jacobs is the type of fight that will likely sell out Barclays Center and Showtime seems willing to put more money behind boxing than HBO is.

Hopefully you're right about Golovkin's freedom to move about; I have my doubts.

with the ONLY difference being.... that they split the pot fairly with the unknown, undeserving, welterweight, Kell Brook

and the only reason why they did that is because they actually wanted to fight Brook

if Jacobs vacates, like Canelo did...... this will be yet another example where Team Bull**** could have done MUCH more to make the fight..... but they chose not to.

Funny how Dannys trainer called Steve Kim right after the Brook fight and said they would take the fight, they saw what they wanted to see and Danny knock out GGG. Now they probably watched the fight again and again and realized, damn Danny is not beating GGG at all, he would probably get embarrassed and now they look for a way out, only take the fight for unreasonable money which is not even on the table for this fight due to Danny Jacobs lack of fans/popularity.

There's probably a provision he can fight on another network if he'd have to give up a belt otherwise. It's all win for Hbo, Showtime would have to bid huge with most of it going to Ggg, so their guy would get destroyed by the Hbo star
