Anyone with two eyes and a bit of boxing knowledge can spot the differences between these two with minimal effort.

Broner was always a guy that was not really dedicated to the game, which no matter how much talent he had he was never going to be able to fully realize his potential because he never put in the work. It is why all his boxing tricks are were as fake as a three dollar bill and someone would eventually expose that.

Ward is dedicated to the game, he knows what works, why it works and how to apply what he knows into practice in the ring with a variety of guys. He has an attention to detail that allows him to use his abilities to greatest possible extent. So Ward really gets the most out of what god gave him.

This is pretty standard stuff to get if you really watch and think about boxing beyond just the surface stuff. Pretty much every person worth listening to here gets that, and someone who doesn't has a lot to learn about boxing and should be like a child in the 1800's seen but not heard~

wow too many to reply to individually. But looks like ive touched a nerve here, is ward more proven than broner, yes. But as i said, a lot of you are being revisionist thats for sure, this guy cleared out lightweight, just as ward cleared out super middleweight and neither weight class was that great although super middle was a bit better. Can say 'only idiots rated broner' well im guessing some of them idiots were you lot. In no way do i think ward proven beyond doubt as (the whole point of this thread which everyone is missing) is that hes fought smaller guys., if ward starts struggling at LHW which i think he might, then this thread really doesnt look that ****** lol.

I'm very sure that you weren't watching boxing back then. A lot of your threads look as though you just got finished looking at boxrec or watching a fight on youtube and you come on here and spew some garbage. Let me guess, GGG got you in the sport?
no he didnt, as ive said ive been watching it many years, been on this site many years, idea of the forum never really attracted me but i enjoy it now. dont know why so many are fixated on my 'join date' bizarre really.

Broner was considered the next great american, future P4P king and was undefeated because he was fighting people smaller than him. When he moved up and started fighting people his own size, he struggled to say the least.
Andre ward was a light heavyweight as a young amateur. People usually go up in weight after the amateurs as they naturally grow, ward has gone down, At supermiddleweight, ward was able to bully opponents, Carl 'Cobra' Froch even commented on how physically strong ward was.
Only now is ward fighting at his natural weight class, which is light heavyweight. Although ward is pretty sizeable at the weight, he cant really push people about who are smaller than him (although he has tried his best to fight smaller men even at his new weight- alexander brand and paul smith who are super middleweights). So my question is, now andre ward is fighting people his own size, is he going to start struggling?

Always the ones with Golovkin avatars to say the dumbest **** on here. Ward has a damn good resume, also well rounded and a lot stronger mentally than Broner.

No he didn't...what? Just give it up man you're full of ****. Comparing a young Broner to current Ward is an embaressing statement.
FYI I never even mentioned your join date. It's the things you say that give it away. You are new to boxing. No shame in it. Just admit it and move on.

Broner didn't come close to clearing out lightweight. The only fighter worth a damn that he fought there was DeMarco, and he only had like 2 fights at the weight. Really, you need to stop because you have no idea what you're talking about. There's nothing wrong with that. Just stop pretending you know what you're talking about if this is the stuff you're saying.

And no, Ward has not fought smaller guys. Ward was never a big super middleweight. He fought fighters his own size and others that were clearly bigger. He was at weight for the Paul Smith fight 30 days out.

Seriously, you're really freaking wrong about this and even if Ward struggles at LHW, you'll still be very wrong about this.

broner's a 4 weight champ. ward a one weight champ. even if ward beats kovalev he still has a lot of work to do to catch broner.
