There is a reason why Ward wanted to fight Brand instead of a legit 175 pounder. Switch out Chilemba for Brand and you'll see what happens when Ward fights a skilled bigger fighter....it won't be pretty, I'll just tell you that.
could andre ward be the next adrien broner?

This IMO. Broner was always a headcase. Ward, whether you like his style and attitude, has always been a true professional when it comes to boxing. He's a perfectionist when it comes to the craft, and is always serious about it.
Also, as for Ward fighting men his size, I think you're wrong. Yes, he competed as a LHW in the ams, and has fought at LHW previously, but I do think he's smaller than a typical LHW. Look at his fight vs. Sullivan Barrera - he was visibly smaller.
His conditioning has always been top notch, and he's been able to muscle guys in the Super6 around. But it's to be seen whether he has that ability at LHW. We'll find out in November.Comment

If ward loses this tard is gonna bump the thread as if he was rightBroner was waiting to get exposed by fighters his own size because he very clearly relied on his size to win fights. Ward does not, and is a hell of a lot more proven than Broner was before he lost.
Give it up, man. You are ridiculously wrong here. He won't lose to light heavyweights because he ran into fighter his own size.Comment

I disagree. There's nothing factual about Boone only winning 30 secs of the fight in total. That's not how facts work.
Because fact is one judged scored the fight 57-56 aka 4-2 plus 1 point for the knockdown.Last edited by SilverMiles; 10-05-2016, 08:32 PM.Comment

Hmm. I'm not a Ward fan but he's more than proven himself at a very high level, granted not in recent years.
Even if he was to lose to Kovalev and not really even be a force in boxing, he was still an excellent SMW in his time.Comment
