Broner was considered the next great american, future P4P king and was undefeated because he was fighting people smaller than him. When he moved up and started fighting people his own size, he struggled to say the least.
Andre ward was a light heavyweight as a young amateur. People usually go up in weight after the amateurs as they naturally grow, ward has gone down, At supermiddleweight, ward was able to bully opponents, Carl 'Cobra' Froch even commented on how physically strong ward was.
Only now is ward fighting at his natural weight class, which is light heavyweight. Although ward is pretty sizeable at the weight, he cant really push people about who are smaller than him (although he has tried his best to fight smaller men even at his new weight- alexander brand and paul smith who are super middleweights). So my question is, now andre ward is fighting people his own size, is he going to start struggling?
      No!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bro, Ward has already proven he is leagues above Broner. Broner was kind of a hype job.

No, I get what you are attempting to convey about the jump in weight classes but the comparisons between the two end there. Andre Ward has cleaned out an entire weight division; Something that Adrien Broner has yet to achieve thus far, in his boxing career at any weight class. Moreover, Ward has been an undisputed and the lineal champion at a 168lb for several years now.

Boone is a pretty talented Journeyman.

Plus broner still isnt a 147, he just gets fat but he belongs at 140
Ward has never been #1 P4P.
It was Pacquiao/Floyd for awhile, then Floyd/Pac, then Floyd/Ward. Then Ward retired.

If he beats Kovalev, then he finally does deserve #1

Ward won the Gold medal in 2004 Olympics and i think that was the last time we got a gold medal so you know he's something special. He is also favored to win against Kovalev which says a lot considering he is smaller than him.

It's either you are forgetful or you weren't watching boxing back then..which would be embarrassing since it wasn't that far ago. Broner was NEVER regarded any where near as high as Ward is. At most he was a very promising prospect with a few question marks (Ponce De Leon) and most people on here used that fight as an example of why he wasn't very good.

I'm very sure that you weren't watching boxing back then. A lot of your threads look as though you just got finished looking at boxrec or watching a fight on youtube and you come on here and spew some garbage. Let me guess, GGG got you in the sport?
