How intelligent is Bob Arum?

haymon has showtime on lockdown.
and enough fighters past the building stage to fill as many dates as showtime had to offer.
arum is being slowly squeezed out of the business and he knows it.Comment

actually haymon is getting squeezed out. that is why guys like glowacki are getting sold off to usyk and bj flores fed to bellew, arroyo fed to chocolatito and wade to ggg. haymon has no dates.
arum be signing 2016 olympians like concecao, conlan etc to go with their loaded 2012 class while haymon hasn't signed anyone and seen his 2012 class like breazeale, herring etc fall apart.
thats why haymon lost nbc, is losing espn after they get the last of the money he owes them on the contract etc. pbc is dying but haymon can keep a nice roster on showtime. too bad with banner getting dates he doesn't have it on lock anymore.Comment

"lockdown" is a good term for showtime....they've barely had any fights this year and their ratings are still down.Comment

Quality and quantity. Here's a simple test; go to whatever ratings system that you trust, line up all of the weight classes, and compare the fighters with Haymon/in Haymon's orbit to the fighters with Arum. This **** again...
You mean number or quality?
Even with his minimally-sized stable, Arum's fighters lay out Haymon's so he will always be looked at as the inferior product because his fighters literally lose every time they go up against another promoters fighters. He just added Glowacki-Usyk to his resume of fight failures. He makes stuff like Linares beating Crolla (Golden Boy vs Hearn) look impossible. Literally cannot win one to save his life.
And he got all the other ones because of cucks.
Fixed it for you.
ESPN has a boxing poll (take their editorial staff for what it is)
200lbs+: Wilder[WBC], Joshua[IBF], Stiverne
200lbs: Huck, Bellew[WBC], Glowacki
175lbs: Stevenson[WBC], Beterbiev, Alvarez, Cleverly[wba], SmithJr
168lbs: DeGale[IBF], Jack[WBC], Dirrell, Dirrell, Groves, Smith, Bute
160lbs: Jacobs[wba], Lee, Quillin, Khurtsidze
154lbs: Lara[WBA], Andrade, Charlo[WBC], Charlo[IBF], Trout, Martirosyan, Williams
147lbs: Thurman[WBA], Brook[IBF], Danny Garcia[WBC], Porter, Spence, Khan, Peterson
140lbs: Broner, Burns[WBA], MolinaJr, Provodnikov, Mikey Garcia
135lbs: Zlaticanin[WBC], Crolla, EasterJr[IBF], Barthelemy, Shafikov
130lbs: Pedraza[IBF], Martinez, Cherry
126lbs: Frampton[WBA], Santa Cruz, RussellJr[WBC], Selby[IBF], Mares, Cuellar[wba]
122lbs: Ruiz, Quigg, Guzman, Ceja
118lbs: Warren[WBA], McDonnell[wba], Payano, Kameda
{{no real significance for Haymon at 115lbs or below}}
Haymon's not going to win every fight, but he's going to win more than he loses, in a world where Arum basically has no margin for error at any weight class.
Lomachenko, at 130lbs, is arguably the only fighter that Arum has that beats Haymon's top fighter at any weight class. nice try thoughComment

There are already at least 4 shows being looked at for November, with every interested party talking about the schedule filling in for December and into January/February 2017.
