    How intelligent is Bob Arum?

He's been around boxing forever. Some believe Top Rank is the best at developing fighters.

Does anybody think he is dumb enough to continue discussions with a "broke entity" like Haymon/PBC or is he merely more informed than the media and general public?

I'm no fan of Bob but I highly doubt he wastes any time talking to Haymon if he knows PBC is over.

Seems like the only ones saying PBC is over are a few ugly faces in the media... both boxing and MMA. Smh

Money talks. Arum and others could be as vocal about PBC's purses, but promoters know well that structure is none of their business, literally. Seeing how HBO cuttoff Pac, and Arum is a Money man, and as long as Haymon stays humble to such industry heads, why wouldn't Arum work something out with Haymon? Their best interest is a positive and beneficial result and of course Money. If Haymon said to Arum, ''I want to produce another hype job like Yuri Foreman, but this time let me do it my way..let's think Max Baer, Chilemba and Toney trunks, will make Joe Smith Jr. pledge allegiance to Israel and dye his hair brown or wear a wig, have that Hebrew blow horn like when Yuri fought Cotto at Yankee stadium....Oh I see magic in the sky, Bob!''

Then I'm sure Arum would be all ears! Hauser would do a black flip too, Doug Fischer would run out in the streets naked! All hell breaks loose!

Well Arum did graduate from Harvard with a Law degree and held a position with the U.S. Attorneys office, so that in itself should speak for his intelligence. And as far as working with PBC, despite what people think, Arum and Haymon need each other. Both camps have guys that are hard to sell and would benefit moreso fighting outside rather than in house. Eventually they will have to give into each other.

In other words a person would have to be incredibly ****** to believe that Arum would negotiate with a broke entity?

Why would Arum negotiate with a broke entity? Arum is all about the money and maximizing his profits...

it doesnt matter if PBC is broke or not, the PBC fighters will still be under contract to Haymon whether or not PBC is functioning. So if Arum wants access to that pool of fighters to possibly match up with his roster, then it makes sense to have some sort of relationship with Haymon.....

Bingo...Bob still threw Haymon under the bus by saying he blew the money and didn't know what he was doing...then turns around and continues to try and do business with him...if I was Haymon I wouldn't do business with Arum...

then you would be cutting off your nose to spite your face. Haymon still collects 15% or so of the purse of any fighter he lets Arum use, so its definitely in his best interests to just bite his tongue and cash the check......

People can say whatever they want about me as long as the check clears lol
