Arum wants some of his fighters on SHO...as long as Haymon holds the keys to SHO, he has to talk with Haymon.

That was also true when Arum attempted to use the court system to destroy Haymon's 'business' by suing PBC under the Ali Act.

Had Arum had any vision beyond counting money from his next in-house fight, he would've positioned Top Rank to be the most popular and famous 'sham promoter' under the PBC umbrella. He passed on that 'business opportunity'.

What makes you think that Haymon (the 'business') gains anything by giving Top Rank's shrinking (in significance, influence and size) roster a lifeline now?

PBC has already broken Top Rank's back in 'business'. Personal or not, they don't need Arum.

Even if the PBC entity dies, Haymon still has a lot of fighters signed to contracts, and a huge influence (maybe close to total control) for programming at Showtime. The PBC can die, but Haymon will live and be a major factor in boxing for as long as he wants.

Also, the pbc model was always going to fail, as far as being profitable. It is more of a scam for Haymon's personal benefit than anything. But that doesn't mean that they won't end up getting a network to offer them a smaller series. Arum has fighters that want to be on tv. He has to do whatever he can to make that happen.

The idea that someone as money-centric as Floyd would turn down an endorsement because he didnt like someone or it conflicted with his principles is laughable. He even sold an entourage spot to the Burger King guy for crying out loud

And "business" is exactly that, its business. Its not personal. I really dont care what people who do business with me think about me, because its not relevant. My self image is not dictated to me by other people. You are probably one of those people who maybe wouldnt bake a cake for a gay couple if it interfered with your "principles".

Arum is a very smart businessman himself who been Promoting fights and Promoted Historic Fights before most of us was BORN. Unfortunately for Arum the game has changed and his hands are a bit tied right now and it doesn't help that Boxing is not a good investment right now. He really doesn't have no bargaining chips because the Pacquiao Buzz is done since the Mayweather fight is over, they're trying to restart the buzz but it is not working because most fans are not that ****** and they don't care to See Mayweather vs Pacquiao again so they figure it is no reason to continue to watch Pacquiao. HBO knowing that got out of the rest of their Contract with Pacquiao WISELY and is focused on the future of the sport

So yes Arum is extremely smart but unfortunately for him things in the sport has changed SO MUCH. If Showtime and Haymon pass on working with him, not sure what Top Rank will do to be honest it is really no other network to turn to that will buy into what he is trying to sell

Does anybody think he is dumb enough to continue discussions with a "broke entity" like Haymon/PBC or is he merely more informed than the media and general public?

I'm no fan of Bob but I highly doubt he wastes any time talking to Haymon if he knows PBC is over.

Seems like the only ones saying PBC is over are a few ugly faces in the media... both boxing and MMA. Smh

lol so that's what this thread is all about? putting up all that trash because some pbc/haymon critics hurt your vag?

is arum putting money into pbc? no, so it doesn't really matter to him if pbc is broke or not.

PBC is just about over but just because PBC is going bankrupt doesn't mean that Haymon still won't manage several of his fighters.

I bet he keeps a core group of 50-60 fighters and keeps them on Showtime far away from the soon to be bankrupt PBC.

Arum wants to get some of his guys on the showtime dates fighting haymon guys
