How intelligent is Bob Arum?

Only problem, Arum has more that 2 Fighters, what about the rest? HBO is kinda just picking and choosing which is what the use to do and that is when HBO was at its best before they tried to play promoter
Not only that but if you're OK with only seeming Crawford and Loma 2 times a year then yeah he can just depend on HBO but he has others fighters on his Roster that need TV Dates and HBO clearly won't be able to squeeze them all inComment

Bob Arum is a Harvard-educated lawyer, and he's been in the boxing game for almost 50 years now. The man's obviously not an idiot; whether that means he can show intelligence in conversations outside of boxing is for others to find out. He's been around boxing forever. Some believe Top Rank is the best at developing fighters.
Does anybody think he is dumb enough to continue discussions with a "broke entity" like Haymon/PBC or is he merely more informed than the media and general public?
I'm no fan of Bob but I highly doubt he wastes any time talking to Haymon if he knows PBC is over.
Seems like the only ones saying PBC is over are a few ugly faces in the media... both boxing and MMA. Smh
Bob Arum knows what he's facing; his HBO spigot has been greatly reduced, he has very few alternatives for TV beyond HBO, and he's heading into the first period, arguably since the rise of Oscar De La Hoya, where he's without a bankable cash cow (and no one else under his banner within 2 years of possibly stepping into that star spot).
Arum knows that the appearance of being a "big dog" (talking bilaterally with Haymon, "with Haymon continuing the talks", TV programmers setting meetings with Arum, etc) is allowing him to fake it for long enough until one of his fighters (Lomachenko, Crawford, Verdejo, Ramirez) can break through.Comment

How does Haymon need Arum? Haymon already has the fighters, Haymon already has the TV, Haymon has outside money backing him, Haymon has the support of the marquee venues (Brooklyn EC, MGM Resorts, etc) and Haymon has the confidence of various TV broadcasters.Well Arum did graduate from Harvard with a Law degree and held a position with the U.S. Attorneys office, so that in itself should speak for his intelligence. And as far as working with PBC, despite what people think, Arum and Haymon need each other. Both camps have guys that are hard to sell and would benefit moreso fighting outside rather than in house. Eventually they will have to give into each other.
Arum has maybe a handful of fighters that Haymon could use to add variety to his pool, but that's about it.
Arum is ****ed, and everyone seems to see thatComment

Haymon already has more TV dates with Showtime than Arum has with HBO, and that's without counting the PBC dates. nice try though.then you would be cutting off your nose to spite your face. Haymon still collects 15% or so of the purse of any fighter he lets Arum use, so its definitely in his best interests to just bite his tongue and cash the check......
People can say whatever they want about me as long as the check clears lolComment

This **** again...
You mean number or quality?
Even with his minimally-sized stable, Arum's fighters lay out Haymon's so he will always be looked at as the inferior product because his fighters literally lose every time they go up against another promoters fighters. He just added Glowacki-Usyk to his resume of fight failures. He makes stuff like Linares beating Crolla (Golden Boy vs Hearn) look impossible. Literally cannot win one to save his life.
And he got all the other ones because of cucks.
Fixed it for you.Arum has maybe a handful of fighters that Haymon could use to add brutal knockout losses to his stable, but that's about it.Comment

Yeah u r right Scipio, Haymon dont need no 1. Hes doing a fine job doing what he is doing. Cutting out top rank will be best for boxing. How does Haymon need Arum? Haymon already has the fighters, Haymon already has the TV, Haymon has outside money backing him, Haymon has the support of the marquee venues (Brooklyn EC, MGM Resorts, etc) and Haymon has the confidence of various TV broadcasters.

Lets see some receipts on your successful business first. That's why not anything...I am a successful businessman...and I don't compromise myself or my principles for said "business"...If a person talk bad about you in the media...that's "bad business" because I can lose clients like that...you see???...then turn around and want to do business anyway???...nah...not my type of business...what you are talking about is not business...you are talking about "GREED" where you will sell out yourself and your principles...just as long as and these are your words
"People can say whatever they want about me as long as the check clears lol"
See I'm not that type of greedy shady person where I fake it with people who talk bad about me to get an extra buck...Floyd is the richest athlete without an endorsement...he did it his way...and others like him have done it their way...and I'm doing it my way too...you can't sit here and say that Bob doesn't get in his personal feelings when conducting business with all the fighters he sat out on the shelf due to his fighters not wanting to sign an extension...i.e. mikey garcia...chavez, jr...odlh, fmj...dude is bad business...there is such a thing...Comment

most of the fighters are still in the building stage and not hbo level but that is why hes trying to add showtime.Only problem, Arum has more that 2 Fighters, what about the rest?
