the problem with the kell brook fight is that it was ppv in the UK, and not marketed as the stay busy and get paid against a no hoper fight that it was. several people had to turn down fights for that fight to materialize. ward wanted the brand fight for a while, and held HBO over the coals to make a main event out of it. he did it as a tune up for a pound for pounder, but if you are going to "excuse" it in that regard, then you should consdier that golovkin fights mandatories and kell brooks because canelo alvarez' promotors do not want the biggest fight in boxing because their guy is going to lose.

you guys just don't have the capability of being objective. you don't. i don't know why i waste my time talking with you.

bro...he fought a guy two divisions down

it dont get much worse than that
.....also brook fought one world ranked guy his entire career....shawn porter, and the rest were domestic level guys

spare me the bs all those fights were crap, and if Ward fought someone who campaigns at 160 today, and signed to fight them after kov, you guys would be having a field day

Love how Ward says "We just choose to keep quiet" then proceeds to bring up GGG in every interview.

Well,it's not like GGG's team don't bring Ward's name up.

Its nice to have the original source, rather than second-hand information.
So you're saying that BoxingScene.com is lying??? Just look at all the BS in the article you quoted:

"If the pay-per-view for the Lemieux fight is what we think it should be, Gennady would deserve more than 50% against Ward, considering Ward has barely fought outside of California," Loeffler said. "So it’s unreasonable to ask us to commit to that right now."

Loeffler said his emailed reply to Ward’s camp was that if Ward was still at 168 pounds in early 2017, Golovkin would be pleased to consider the bout at that point.

"If you don’t want to fight a fighter, think it’s not your style, just say that," Ward said on the video. "The truth is, they never wanted the fight. The reality is we offered him a fight six, seven months ago, before we knew he had a pay-per-view coming up ... 50%. He turned it down in five minutes. The short and long of it is they never wanted the fight."

LOL! Ward's team is the only campaigning to make an official offer. Let's not revise history for the sake of argument. Let's also not ignore the point of the matter. Whatever events led to Trip fighting a welterweight, he still fought a welterweight. Yet, the focus has been on who he might fight as socialized by Loeffler. If Mayweather was criticized for Marquez and Berto, surely Trip is due criticism.

They keep asking him about Triple G. The media obviously wants Triple G to fight someone credible as well. There are only two guys at this point. Ward or Canelo. Ward has a point. If Ward fought Danny Jacobs or another middleweight, he would be crucified by casual fans and media. He's fighting the next highly ducked fighter in Kovalev. When he wins, what will media say? I'm pretty sure Ward would rather talk about his upcoming PPV to market that and maximize his dollars but point is that Triple G fought a welterweight. That is horrible. He could have fought a top 20 or 30 ranked middleweight. Stay in your division. He got no credit for beating a 147 lb champion. It only helped Brook who was winning at the time of the stoppage.

No he didn't. He sent GGG's promoter a bullshit offer to fight a year down the line at a weight he can't even make any more.

It was a PR move to publicise his new HBO deal. Deep down, I'm sure you know that yourself, but you would never be honest enough to admit it.

                  Weight Classes

Weight classes exist for a reason. Mayweather was criticized for fighting Marquez in one weight class difference so Triple G needs to face the same criticism or more. Manny has forced guys to drop in weight and he too has faced criticism. Triple G needs the same treatment. 147-160 is a huge jump in weight.

CoWARD on the hand has fought a steady string of bums over the last few years Brand, Barrera, Smith, Rodriguez. Lol who the hell are they? In fact his last "live" opponent was an extremely limited Carl Froch who decided to retire instead of stepping into the ring with GGG. Just like that other CoWARD Chavez Jr who refused millions from myself to step in the ring with Golovkin.

Also, big LOL at Canelo's resume. Everybody know's he's paying off the judges after the Mayweather draw so received some very questionable decisions e.g. Lara. Also, his last few opponents have been walking corpses e.g. Khan, Kirkland, Smith. I guess he's taken a leaf out of CoWARD's opponent selection process lol.

CoWARD may be fighting the #1 LHW in the world but GGG tried to fight the #2 middleweight in the world only for him to vacate his belt & continue to fight bums a weight division lower lol.
Ward fought those guys while MOVING UP to fight Kovalev! Leonard MOVED UP! Whitaker MOVED UP! Chavez Sr. MOVED UP! Roy Jones Jr. MOVED UP! B-Hop MOVED UP! Mayweather MOVED UP! Pacquiao MOVED UP! Cotto MOVED UP! And now Canelo is MOVING UP! Didn't Canelo win the title @ 155? Now GGG has to sit and wait because he doesn't have the balls to do what the great ones have done, MOVE UP! Or he can wait for Errol Spence Jr. to MOVE UP!

Ward's obsessive jealousy of Golovkin is really creepy.
