Comments Thread For: Ward: Golovkin Gets A lot of Passes, Imagine if I Did a Brook Move?

Lol idiot Ward doesn't realize both GGG & Brook were forced to fight each other due to being avoided in their respective weight divisions. Everybody avoids GGG (Canelo vacated his belt rather than face him) whilst Brook couldn't get fights made with Thurman, Garcia etc. Therefore, it made sense for them to fight. Brook was an undefeated, avoided big welterweight (who will soon be moving to 154) with punching power & a great chin. This isn't the same as Canelo dragging a chinny, light punching, small welterweight in Amir Khan up 2 weight divisions.
Also, Lol @ Ward talking about GGG getting "touched". Well that's what happens when you want to make a "big drama show" for the paying public instead of sending them to sleep by running. GGG barely had a mark on him afterwards whereas he rocked Brook badly in the first, knocked him down in the second (which was incorrectly not counted), broke his eye socket in the third & forced his corner to throw in the towel in round 5 sending Brook straight to hospital.
Has Andrew CoWARD ever done anything like this? In his dreams. Hopefully the pillow fisted marathon runner gets his just deserts against the GGG of his own division.Comment

both ward and smith were career supermiddleweights fighting over the limit
thats not the same as a guy fighting someone 13 pounds up
you know its not the same man
Brook was a welterweight who did nothing over 147 fighting the best 160 guy in the world
come on....stop reaching
you know ward would get trashed if he fought a middleweight instead of KovalevComment

GGG turned down 50/50, and he was to fight Lemieux, and Ward was to fight ONE TUNE UP, and then the fight was to be in early 2016! They turned it down in 36 minutes! Why? Because GGG was waiting for either Canelo or Cotto (who fought @ 155) to come up to 160! He ended up fighting neither, and instead fought Dominic Wade. GGG then criticized Canelo for making Khan come to 155, then fought Brook @ 160! Like Ward said, GGG gets passes that Ward could never get away with! Anyway, it is what it is! GGG just fought a WW, and Ward is fighting Kovalev!
What we have here us Andre Ward sounding like, and acting like, a total b itch on her period. Wanting to cry about Golovkin fighting a smaller man, while in the same breath, asking a smaller man to move up and fight, without being willing to negotiate on the weight. Just like last year. Crying ass hypocrite b itch, Andre Ward.Comment

ward sounds like an idiot here, i thought he was smarter than this
you can't criticise golovkin for facing someone two divisions below him while simultaneously asking that he jump up two divisions himself and face you. either facing someone smaller than you is cool or it isn't; it can't be one rule for you and another rule for everyone else
the point is people whine...GGG a small middleweight, yet claim how great he is....if you can fight a guy moving up, you can move up as well.Comment

Ward fought Alexander Brand, as he MOVES UP from 168 to 175! He's now facing the best LHW in the game! GGG just fought Dominic Wade and Kell Brook! GGG is not on the same level as Ward! Say what you want about Canelo, but check the resume! He's done more at 25, then GGG has done his entire career!Comment

Smith and Brand were bums by comparison.
Brook was smaller, but a much higher quality opponent.Comment

I hate when fighters play the victim role and generalization but I gotta agree with this. Just imagine if Ward pulled one of those moves.
But if I was Ward I'd look at this as a good thing though. This just means the standards are higher for him which means in people's minds they know he's a better fighter.Comment
