Loeffler said his emailed reply to Ward’s camp was that if Ward was still at 168 pounds in early 2017, Golovkin would be pleased to consider the bout at that point.

"If you don’t want to fight a fighter, think it’s not your style, just say that," Ward said on the video. "The truth is, they never wanted the fight. The reality is we offered him a fight six, seven months ago, before we knew he had a pay-per-view coming up ... 50%. He turned it down in five minutes. The short and long of it is they never wanted the fight."

Quite frankly, I am saying the BS article is lying. Notice the BS article said something about the offer being turned down completely, whereas thr Times article says 2017 if Ward can still make 168. 2017 isnt that far from mid 2016, which I established from the 'fight earlier in the year' remark made by Loeffler on regard to Ward's email.

Thr second thing Id like to address is the last bolded portion, which are Ward's words. (say that 3 times fast, lol) Ward says, in September, that he made an offer 6 or 7 months ago. That would have made the offer on what, February? Is it a slip of the tongue, or is Ward just BSing us? Either way, one guy was willing to meet in the middle to fight 'right now', and the other guy wanted to wait a year, take tune ups, and make the smaller guy move all the way up in weight. Spin it how you want.

Lol so you want GGG to move up to 168 and fight bums like Smith, Barrera & Brand etc? What would be the point of that? Besides, GGG has said he'll only move up once he's unified middleweight champion so why should he move before? He also said he's willing to go straight into a title fight against Ramirez, De Gale etc instead of fighting bum after bum like CoWARD.

Also, Canelo won the title at 155lbs because Cotto was the champion at that weight. Besides, everyone knows Canelo goes into the ring 170-180 lbs so its hilarious how he claims not to be a natural middlweight.

I especially like how you casually included Canelo as the one who shall be commended for moving up to 155 (or from 155, whatever). Canelo covered himself in shame and there is no rectifying this.

I'm starting to have buyer's remorse regarding taking you off ignore. You push the same nonsense bull**** in every god damn thread.

Only in your little fairyland did Golovkin duck Ward. The end.

They know damn well if Ward was fighting Billy Joe Sanders or other middleweights he would be crucified

he was already criticized for fighting brand who was fought much of his career at 168 like ward.
You usually go full ****** when it comes to Golovkin, and everyone expects that.

But PLEASE don't destroy any sense of credibility you have left by even attempting to defend the Brand fight.

i dont give a damn about cred on message board full of fan boys

Brand was a mismatch just like Brook was a mismatch

difference is Ward and Brand both spend most of their career at 168, whereas Brook did nothing of note at 154 or 160 and only had fought one world rated welterweight.

So you think Ward would get a pass for thing Jacobs, eubanks or billy joe sanders

you know your mouth is watering over the thought of the shyt storm that would come over those crap fights

He keeps calling out Golovkin, who's in the same weight class as those guys, without any repercussions. Hell, most of you are proud of him calling out a MW.

All of a sudden 2 weight classes is no big difference and Golovkin needs to move up and stop ducking, huh?

and lol@brook and brand being the same "mismatches".
