Seems to me that K2 doesn't want to wait a year and have to fight real fights in the meantime. You don't hesitate in negotiations for a fight you have structured Trips entire career around over the last 18 months. Maybe they don't want to fight Heiland, Johnson, or Derevyanchenko if Johnson isnt ready before Alvarez.

If an 8 figure offer is on the cards then Loeffler should be talking. After last night and the previous weekend I see this fight as 50/50 especially, and this is important, with Golovkin a year older.

I don't really care about who gets what but looking at it from a business point of view I'd say a 33/67 split in favor of Canelo would be fair. He is the one bringing the fans and high numbers.

I would revise that upwards slightly if Golovkin can unify with Saunders. Reason being is that if it would be a fight for unified MW and if Canelo was to win he'd go from being a hall of famer to absolute legend (at least in Mexico) - and Mayweather earning level from there on in. That's be a lot to bring to the table from Golovkin's side.

If you doubt me then you don't know how the HOF voting works OR you have a very negative opinion of Canelo. Apart from skills and resume a large part is played by how attractive a fighter was. Whatever you think of Canelo's skills and resume it's hard to deny he is carrying boxing right now. Biggest star out there.

There are forgotten fighters who are not in HOF who were twice as skillful as Canelo but from wrong country or fighting in a tough era. There are fighters less skillful who get voted for because they brought excitement to the sport.

Its funny how you so call boxing fans think you know the business side of boxing! You are the same people who said Manny should take the $40 mil Floyd offered because its the most he had ever made! Why would GGG take a few million because its more than any purse he has collected when there could be $50 - $100 million generated? An offer doesn't mean anything. 2x or 3x more than GGG biggest purse is 6-10 million! That could possibly leave 40-75 million for Canelo & Golden Boy. That's BS & true boxing fans know this.
