I didn't see the ppv upside, still there's a lot more that we're not hearing. You never know if it's a deal where the upside only kicks in after a certain number of buys, and they could've made it something outrageous.

I'm satisfied they're actually negotiating and that we'll atleast get in a couple of good fights like Jacobs & Saunders while we're waiting.

Yep, now it's time to start building the fight. I would still like Canelo to have 2 decent fights at 160lbs. Jorge Heiland and Tureano Johnson would be fun, yet safe opponents to show that Canelo's a force to be reckoned with at 160.

Lol..... you sinking to all time lows my friend Canelo owes HBO a regular HBO fight in December not another ppv.... His deal calls for two ppv fights and third being a ref HBO broadcast the money not there for that to happen HBO can't revise they signed contract with GBP to make you happy and if his hand is injured he won't be fighting in December and would return in may which takes making ggg fight in may out the equation because he would want a tune up which nobody would blame him for taking so that only leaves September as only logical month

There's really no more building of the fight needed. Canelo already has 50 fights. GGG is a well decorated amateur, Olympian, and pro. The big drama show is their just waiting for Canelo to stop shivering at the idea and actually doing it. If Canelo wants tune ups at 160, just say so and stop pretending he wants to fight GGG by saying Mexicans dont' **** around. If Canelo wants tune ups, I'll give him a pass as long as he stops with his GGG antics like calling him in the ring but can't back it up.

I don't think heiland going fight anybody that can knock him off his mando position anytime soon lol, we prob get Stevens,Monroe,Lemieux, and Johnson to pick out of for December date if he fights there and for May if he can get billy I'm selling my title to highest bidder Saunders on that date if ggg don't get him

The key sentence here is if "Canelo fight comes up that would trump any fight in boxing." Okay, lets fight in December 2016? What's the hold up? Why September 2017? Because a lot of things can change in a year. Who knows what will happen a year from now. This is nothing but a PR stunt from Canelo and GBP to save face. Lets get it on at 160 lb before the year end. Loeffler and K2 will make this fight in a heart beat. This time Canelo doesn't have anywhere to duck. No more belts to vacate.

September 16 or 17 is Mexican independence day. So that is when the fight can maximize revenue. It's not rocket science bud. If this is the biggest fight out there then they will wait a year. Both guys will get another fight in. GGG may get 2 fights in. Canelo is the draw & he put 51000 against Smith in Texas. They will pack it in September. 80000+ people on Mexican Indepence weekend. GGG would be ****** to want it any other time since they will get 10 million minimum purse & a % of PPV. GGG fans make me laugh. There was no duck by Canelo. They want to make money. December is a 100% no-go. Too short of time, too close to Christmas, and too close to the Ward/Kovalev ppv. They'll only do this fight on a prime date like May or September.


Even if Canelo has a bruised knuckle, he could take the rest of this year off and have his regular fight in early February, then another in May, and Golovkin in September. Meantime, Golovkin fights Jacobs in December, Saunders in February, then maybe his mando or Rameriz in May/June.

What are you talking about. The deal was to guarantee that he can fight in May and September because those were big Mexican holidays where Mayweather used to gobble those dates up. He also can be afforded to fight on the normal network if he wants. So that's the deal. If it was a big PPV event like GGG/Canelo, it's a blockbuster HBO wouldn't pass up regardless. LOL.
