When I watch Gonzalez fight I'm reminded of Brandon Rios below 147.
Couldn't agree more, I'm of the conclusion it is pure HBO desperation

        actually it is.

        glad you disagreed with me.

proves to me you've never been in a actual fight.

        "what happened to your face?"

"you should see the other guy.."

4 weight world champion beating the #1 at 4 weights.
Several wins over top 5 opposition and not a top 5 p4p?

What is P4P exactly? Because if this guy isn't a top 5 P4P it certainly has **** all to do with resumes, skillsets or accomplishments.

The scoring criteria decides how you score a boxing fight.

None of them include, 'facial damage'

He knocked Viloria out after putting a beating on him.

Both were top 5 rated in his division by all the major ranking systems.

Cuadras was the second best fighter at 115 and it was RG's first fight at the weight. He beat him.

You guys are way too critical. Whats more you are not comparing to other guys in the P4P list. I could pick apart the rest of the top 5 guys resumes just as easily (if not easier) than you are doing with RG's

For the record, barring a inconclusive ending, the winner of Kovalev vs Ward will be P4P no.1 for me.
Viloria has been washed for ages, the fact that he was rated as a top 5 fighter in that division, speaks to the talent level that RG has been facing. Mcwilliams was an obscure,no name. The best fighter in the world should have took him to the cleaners.

                yes,

physical damage including facial damage is part of the criteria.

                stop being dumb.

IF you took a look at all the faces of all the people whoever fought a fist fight, a boxing match, mma match, chances are the person whose face looks worse than the other guy is the guy who lost and the guy who took less damage is the one that won.

Viloria was past his best but no way was he shot, you can see that pretty clearly in his fights. Gonzalez wrecked him anyway so I dont see how it marks against him.

Mcwilliams maybe should have beaten Ruenroeng so he was clearly worthy of being at the top of the division. Gonzalez beat him up.

If you look at the actual boxing scoring criteria, facial damage is not something that affects the scoring of a boxing match.
