Maybe the individual weight jumps arent that impressive in comparison, but he still in his 4th weight class. If he can beat Inuoe it will be his 3rd lineal championship.

We arent comparing him to P4P fighters of the past, only the guys in the top 10 now.
He still hasn't looked good in his last three fights and has fought, maybe two decent guys in the last four years and in neither did he prove himself to be a class above. I still don't see him as being the best fighter in the sport,no matter how much propagan HBO spits out.

He also loses way to many rounds and takes too many punches to be p4p. Aren't top p4p guys suppose to have great defense? Gonzalez only adjustment is to walk forward faster and throw more punches. Cuadras in my opinion should of earned a draw, he did enough to keep his belt, what happened to the unwritten rule "you have to beat the champion" not just compete with him to take the title?

If Ward or Floyd looked that sloppy, took that many punches, or had a face swollen to that degree they'd drop from the top spot in a heartbeat! What's with all the HBO and fan empathy for Gonzalez, he is not the best, just accept reality and take his name out that top 5.
im glad people are starting to wake up to their multiculturalism stupor.

the voting of chocalito (who i respect and enjoy as a boxer) was pure libtard pc cuck lets love ********** pick.

      PLAIN AND SIMPLE.

ive made threads disagreeing with the chocalito #1 p4p pick.

as a person who hates floyd,

that's an absurd post. floyd looked better against maidana in either fight much better than what choclito looked against cuedras last night.

      not even close.

Floyd was closer to losing in Maidana I than Gonzalez was last night.

I rewatched the Arroyo fight the other day and RG really beat him up to be honest. Arroyo did better than some expected but he never that competitive.

He knocked Viloria out after putting a beating on him.

Both were top 5 rated in his division by all the major ranking systems.

Cuadras was the second best fighter at 115 and it was RG's first fight at the weight. He beat him.

You guys are way too critical. Whats more you are not comparing to other guys in the P4P list. I could pick apart the rest of the top 5 guys resumes just as easily (if not easier) than you are doing with RG's

For the record, barring a inconclusive ending, the winner of Kovalev vs Ward will be P4P no.1 for me.

            i CATEGORICALLY tywin lannister disagree.

did you see chocalito's face after the fight?

now compare his face to floyd's face in either maidana fight.

            not even close.

Yes we should all score fights based on facial damage rather than, you know, the actual scoring criterea :

I had Floyd winning by a round. A lot of people scored it for Maidana. It is at least even between the two fights.

Having him p4p is an insult to the intelligence of boxing fans. We just saw two of the greatest fighters in history, Floyd and Manny, and they try to put this guy on their level. When you go through the history of p4p fighters his skills simply doesn't match those of previous #1's. When you watch someone like Lomacheko fight you can see the skill level of a p4p fighter. When I watch Gonzalez fight I'm reminded of Brandon Rios below 147.

Maidana didn't win a single round against Floyd after the 5th.....Gonzalez gets his azz whooped from the 5th on, these fights are in no way comparable, Floyd adjusts and controls his opponent, Gonzalez does nothing but trade shots (he gets the worse of it) till the bell rings

yeaaa because that's what i totally said. :

there are multiple factors to include when deciding who won the fight. how your face looks compared to the other guy is one of them.

are you seriously gonna argue that?

                      because if you do,

you bascially have outed yourself as a guy who really hasnt gotten into a real fight.
