I don't believe that for 1 second.
THAT, is the issue.
Brook is unproven, and relatively-unknown..... Saunders is at least as well-known as Brook.
BTW, isn't Golovkin supposed to be the draw, NOT those other guys ? LMAO
I believe that 90% of the buys will be for Golovkin, not for Brook, not for Saunders, and certainly not for Jacobs..... Brook/Saunders/Jacobs are simply not a draw, so there should be very little difference in the prospective purses for those guys.
NOBODY has ever referred to Kell Brook as a lucrative fight..... he is simply not a draw, period..... I don't believe a word of it.
K2 entered into a mutually beneficial agreement with Hearn, but low-balled those other guys, because K2 REALLY wanted to fight Kell Brook..... they are taking the fights they want, and passing on the rest, just like everyone else.
And that is sooooo obvious.Comment

I live in the UK. I know how much attention this fight is getting in the mainstream media, even with the Olympics in full swing. It sold out the 02 Arena 10 mins after tickets went on sale.I don't believe that for 1 second.

And the money is coming from Matchroom/Sky PPV, not K2, so any comparison between the deal Brook is getting FROM HIS OWN PROMOTER and what K2 offered Jacobs and Saunders is irrelevant.Comment

Even though he lost to BJS, Eubank Jnr is a bigger name in the UK than either Bill or Kell Brook. Brook is reaping the benifit of the attention that Jnr's challenge to GGG got from the media in the UK and also from Eddie Hearn being able to plug Brook/GGG on Sky sports news, which everybody in the UK watches.
Frank Warren, Saunder's promoter, doesn't have the same ability to reach the mainstream and casual boxing market with his own platform, Boxnation, which is watched by hard-core boxing fan subscribers only.Comment

Haymon paid Jacobs and Quillin way above the market value for their fight, which bombed in the ratings. If Al wants to overpay his own fighters, that's his privelage, but you can't expect other promoters to overpay them too.Market value for the fight against Golovkin. You can't just look at what the fighters last purse was. That's oversimplistic. A Golovkin vs Jacobs fight in NY is worth far more money than the Jacobs Quillen fight. Thus the purses should reflect that. Perfect example is Golovkin Saunders versus Golovkin Brook. Apparently the Golovkin Brook fight is worth giving Brook $4M. Or shall I say giving Eubank $4M. So how was Saunders not partially justified in saying pay me more than $1.5M or come to the UK? My point is, as a promoter, Loeffler talks about making things happen, but seemingly doesn't. Trips next to fights are likely to be essentially promoted by Matchroom.Comment

Stop talking sense Kafkod as it is like speaking to a brick wall
You need to remember that this is a clown that still claims GGG ducked Canelo AND Mora (serious WTF)Comment

Yeah, and if Golovkin had turned down Brook as a replacement for Eubank, you can bet your life that he and his buddies would have called that a duck too!Comment

Ratings of a fight do not effect the current fight, only how much the network is willing to pay for the promoters or fighters next fight. For non-ppv fights, the networks absorb most of the risk. Market value is based on how much the network is willing to pay to televise the fight.Last edited by Ake-Dawg; 08-17-2016, 09:23 PM.Comment

Hey dunce, Im not sure why this is so hard for you to understand, but K2 is not paying Brook!!!! Eddie Hearn is. So how much Brook makes, or doesnt make, has nothing to do with K2 or GGG.
