Is Danny Garcia going to fight again this year? Why so inactive?

I think Salka will be available by the end of November.

Lets just take Broner for example. His highest purse to date was somewhere along the lines of 1.2mil, yet he turns down 4mil for a fight vs Pacquiao.

Kid Chocolate when pressed with the question if he is willing to fight GGG, he threw out some crazy number like 10mil.

BJS has turned out to be a joke and isn't willing to fight anyone with a pulse.

Pac turned down what would have been a great fight vs Crawford in favor of fighting Vargas.

Floyd closed his career fighting Berto rather than going out with a **** in a high profile fight.

Canelo turned down GGG and is fighting some guy that literally nobody cares about.

Khan refuses to fight Brook yet was willing to fight Canelo and is now looking for a fight with Connor McGregor! WTF!?

Cotto wants to come back to fight the much smaller JMM.

Boxing has become ridiculous! The only fight I care to see at this point is Ward/Kovalev.
I think you are trying to make everything equal and you can't.

Broner is IMO doing same thing Manny did in turning down $40 mil, no ppv-he knows fight will generate more so he wants more.

Floyd and Manny are at the end of their careers. They have earned the right. Besides, lets not over exaggerate the last fights of ATG fighters. Cotto as well.

I agree about the other guys. Chocalito saying no to Estarda rematch and no Loma/Salido was problematic as well. Too much is about the business but we are at a point (and I keep saying this) where networks are paying stars to draw ratings rather than paying for great fights that draw ratings.

Sadly, Canelo/Kirkland or GGG/Wade gets more viewers than Craford/Postol so HBO gives those fights prime dates and more marketing resources.

If HBO/SHO is paying you to win rather than to fight, what do you expect?

Haymon fighters are not the kind of fighters fans should be following. Their wins don't lead to anything big. You'd think that Garcia would be fighting Thurman for his next fight. Brook called him out and no response came. He'll fight Berto. I'd be happy to see him fight Broner. But even that is just another fantasy fight just like the Matthysse vs Broner. This is a ****ed up sport with so many fights that will remain fantasies. It's full of fighters that should have picked different careers.

A guy like Danny should be fighting 3-4 times a year, assuming he is healthy enough.

Yea even Crawford is fighting twice a year, when he used to fight 3 or 4 times a year.

              Probably on a PEDs cycle

Spence, Crawford, Verdejo, Valdez, Ramirez, Loma should all have 4 fights a year minimum.

Its as if everyone in boxing forgets that back in the day a fighter got his name up because you could watch him 4-6 times a year and thats how a buzz got created.

                  Exactly.

Danny Garcia started fighting twice a year with the Judah fight. That's from 2013 to 2015, and his fights were separated with 4-5 months gap. This year he's supposed to have finished his second fight last June, that is if you're following the gap. It's already mid August and there appears no fight lined up for him yet. Even if they're in the promotion phase, fight would likely be held sometime in late October or early November. That's 9-10 months gap.

Any news from the Garcia camp? Is this guy ever going to fight again or what? These types of fighters are not good ambassadors to the sport. They can't even represent the PBC brand well, and can't even help Haymon out from his investors' financial misery.

Thought the Berto fight would have been official by now ... Shawn Porter said on his Twitter he's training for an upcoming fight but named no one.
